New York, New York State, USA I heart NY

I first experienced NYC 4 years ago, and since then I have the concrete jungle bug! I recently went to NYC a couple of weeks ago. As soon as I got into my yellow taxi heading to Manhattan, I knew this would be a holiday to remember. The weather was divine, the people were bustling, and the atmosphere was insane. I visited a number of ‘tourist’ attractions including Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, Rockefeller Center, Wall Street, boating in Central Park, Radio City, Times Square, Bronx Zoo, Coney Island, and even made my way up to 6 Flags (the New York theme park), to name but a few. But it was the hidden gems I fell in love with…seeing unknown bands playing in Washington Square Park, jogging along the West Side highway early morning, and people watching outside the SoHo café’s. The food is as you can imagine, endless! I went to a couple of notable restaurants including Club 21 (pricey, but great fish!), Amma’s (quaint Indian restaurant), and an amazing Thai restaurant in the East Village. If you really feel like pushing the boat out (which I did), head on over to Brooklyn and visit the River Café. The deserts are worth the weight gain! The night life although similar to London, has an edge. We clubbed the night away at Jay Z's 20/20, Opal and Webster Hall. I found that bars and cocktail lounges are more popular though. You can’t go to NYC without heading to the Waldorf for a cocktail, or going to a local bar and playing beer pong with the night’s revelers! There are a lot of bars in Midtown. I went to NYC with one very light suitcase, and ended up leaving with a suitcase over my weight limit. Shopping in NYC is none like I’ve experienced before (and this coming from a Londoner!). I wondered around 5th, popped into Bloomingdales, went to Century 21 in the Financial District, shopped at high street brands along Broadway and even caught a bus to Woodbury common (designer clothes heaven!). Even China Town is worth a peak - dumplings and souvenirs! Although the $ isn’t as high as it used to be, you can still find some great finds. Apple, Gap, Ray Ban, Levi’s and Nike are all worth a look in. Also, look out for some lovely women’s boutiques in SoHo along Bowery and Elizabeth. Overall, the holiday was just what I needed. Food, sun, happy (and gorgeous!) people, and a woman’s dream shopping experience. I even got to watch Sex and the City 2 and get some more inspiration for my next NYC shopping spree!

We have been to Florida twice now and each time we have loved it. The weather is great, people friendly and you will never be stuck for something to do. Universal Studio's is by far the best theme park and I would definitely recommend the Cocoa Beach Surf School one of the best days we ever had. Florida will never disappoint and will keep a smile on any kid or adults face. You need to visit Florida at least once in your life to feel the excitement and joy it can bring to everyone.

What a wonderful, extraordinary place! Full of fun, laughter and the friendliest people I have met in a long time! We had such a wonderful time and staying on International Drive was great fun. We had access to all the wonderful restaurants and evening entertainment. Downtown Disney was a hoot and the easy access to all Disney parks via rail or car journey being only maximum of 20 min drive. Kids loved it, adults loved it and we will defiantly be back, next time with grandchildren in tow! I would recommend this holiday destination to anyone. Made all my childhood dreams come true! Fantastic and magical, well priced and luxury in everyway!

There is so much to see and do from shopping to dining with Mickey Mouse. I stayed in International Drive which had everything around me. Once in a life time thrills in Universal and Islands of Adventure and just once in a life time altogether. It is world famous for its beaches, places and not to forget its themeparks. Florida is one of those places that you have to visit in your life no matter what age you are so get booking!

This was our dream holiday for us and the kids. We were not disappointed in the slightest. We booked a year in advance and just couldn't wait for it to come round. It was well worth the wait. My kids didn't want to go home and if i could afford to i would move over there to live. Brilliant parks and rides, the kids loved the duelling dragons rollercoaster in universal. My favourite park was aquatica, the lazy river was awesome. We are praying tht we can go back sometime soon. This holiday has so much to offer and was well worth the money. There is something for everyone and the weather was fantastic, didn't mind the showers one bit.Every one should experience this fantastic dream holiday at least once in their lifetime.

Vegas is becoming a real ultimate weekend away location..... Why? Because whilst there you could be ANYONE! Away from the tackiness it really is a decadent destination, where you can spoil yourself rotten and be over the top glam and yet blend right in. Just come back from my 5th trip, this time staying at Encore at Wynn. The weather was almost 100 degrees everyday, the shopping fabulous and the fine dining some of the best of any city I have been too. Oh and some great nightlife - XS at Encore - great club (amongst many)!! It really has something for everyone and is great for a girlie weekend away. Blahnik, Choo and Louboutine say no more..... Heaven! My girlfriends and I go more than the men do now. And why not ????

Key West, Florida, USA What an interesting place

Date of travel: 18/05/2009

We drove to Key West from Miami one Monday morning. I had wanted to go here for years and years and finally we had gotten around to it during a tour of Southern Florida. We took the overseas highway down through the Keys and were very excited about the prospect. About five hours later of 40mph single track road we arrived in Key West and decided that if we were to come again we would fly! You definately have to drive it once I think but once is enough! It is beautiful and there are some lovely stopping points for photo ops but the Key towns are overly pretty and are generally a line of shops and cafes before you get back to the road again. Key West though was a different matter. It had a real old US town feel about it. The older part with all the Conch styles of architecture was just lovely and we enjoyed wandering around the local streets just looking at the different styles. Duvall Street is the main tourist area and is a very long street full of bars and eateries! The Conch train goes from this road and you can sign up for one of the two local ghost tours. Really the tourism is centred around here and its a good place to start if that is what you are here for. We were only staying for two nights and had really come for one main thing, what Key West is about in my eyes, sunset from Mallory Square, just off of Duvall Street. We did the Conch train tour and I personally found it to be an extortionate waste of money! It cost $30 each to ride in an exceedingly cramped train for about an hour and a half. You couldn't get off to explore anywhere and it was definately just about getting your money. I think you're better off getting a good guide book and working it out for yourself to be honest. We also did one of the ghost tours, the one where they don't dress up! That was also expensive but really brilliant. We learnt more about Key West on that and had interaction with the guide who answered our questions (unlike the train driver who told people off for talking!). Ghost tour is very highly recommended. We had a drive around ourselves and managed to take the photos they wouldn't let us take on the train ride, obligatory photo next to Southernmost buoy showing 90 miles to Cuba etc. We did watch the sunset from Mallory Square and loved all the entertainment in the hour leading up to sunset. Also had a walk around Key West Cemetary looking for the headstone that says "See I told you I was sick". Didn't find it. I really loved the atmosphere in Key West. I can't wait to go back there. We didn't have long enough there really and I would like to explore a little more. I would also be more prepared for it next time. It is expensive and there is definitely a lot aimed and getting your tourist dollar out of you but it can be done cheaper if you are prepared. Definintely worth a visit.

We went with thomsons. We stayed at POP Century. We didnt hire a car. Ok so having stayed at POP Century i would recommend a car so you can get away from the food. Otherwise the holiday was fantastic. Disney parks are great we had the ultimate tickets well worth the expense. Typhoon lagoon is the best water park. Magic kingdom the best fire works. Fantasmic at disney hollywood studios is fantastic as is the new toy story game/ride in the park. Epcot has a new kids game with mobile phones called Kim impossible. I would give anything away but they love it and it can keep them amused for a whole day on its own. Also track test is great fun. Get to the parks early to get on the big rides early in the day and very quickly. Try fast pass which gets you on the top rides quickly, if you dont understand how it works just ask Disney staff are great. Away from the parks, check out the christmas and toy shops at downtown disney. Walmart on international drive is a shoppers dream.Gallon buckets of icream for ?4 ,$6. We went to discovery cove and swam with dolphins this was pre booked very expensive but fantastic, out of this world, once in a lifetime experience.

This was my third visit to New York and it gets better every time as I get to know the city better. Now I know the layout of the city I can refine my hotel choices and know where all the bargains are to be had at Macys, Saks etc. Getting around is really easy if a bit hard on the feet or you can take the softer option and use the very excellent tour buses but they can be hard to get back onto if you leave the bus in the middle of the tour. The hotels are all of a good standard if a little expensive but sticking to the central Manhattan area is a must for the nightime scene and getting to all the points of interest. New York is such an iconic city, so many buildings you know so well but have never seen in real life. The people too are great, just get out a map and look confused and a new yorker will stop and help, wonderful. Planning the next trip for December with the family, I really can't get enough of this wonderful cosmopolitan world.

These islands should be re named PARADISE. When coming into Honolulu airport as the plane tips it wings you can see that lovely blue of the ocean so welcoming you just wish that the you could jump of the plane staigth in. Steping of the plane the stress of life and everything just seemed to lift staight of your shoulders all you wanted to do was head straight for that water and relax. This is where our holiday got funny everytime we got lost of could not find our way back to the hotel we counted the number of ABC stores there where, these are like little brick and brack shops on nearly every corner and street so no chance of getting lost once we sorted that out. Paradise does not sum up Hawaii you have to go there experience the people, food culture. I would recommend the whale watching take your camera yes but do stop and watch the most beautiful creatures as they jump and play around you. Go end explore as my words mean so little only buy going there can you really get that ==== no words to expalin how you feel. Just DO YOU HAVE TO COME BACK HOME AND WHEN CAN I GO AGAIN. Quick note would you get on the back of a Harley Davidson with a total stanger and leave your disabled Mum with his friend in this country answer NO well I did in Hawaii as that is how safe I felt with the people there at home and relaxed. Visit everying you can but remember leave a little for next time as you do crave a return trip.

We visited all the must see sites like the Empire state Building, Statue of Liberty, Central Park etc. We also visited the Bronx Zoo which was lots of fun but very tiring as it is very big and we spend a whole day just walking around.

The big Apple is really big in every way! There is just so much to see and do that you can quite easily go there numerous times and not do the same thing twice. I went this past summer and it was hot as hell and it’s not even the type of hot we get here its much more grimy and sticky when it gets hot there. The good thing is that their trains have got air conditioning so it’s very comfortable to travel on their trains. I took full advantage of the exchange rate and went wild with the shopping and I would have done much more if we didn’t have to worry about the amount of weight you are allowed to bring back. Macys was probably the pick of the bunch for me, I am thinking of going and doing some pre-Christmas shopping again in November! Oh don’t forget to catch some Broadway shows while your there they are much better than the ones we have here.

A sensational place of history and good weather. I took my family to Massachusetts because of all of the sights and marks of history. The summer time was the best time to go because we did not have to face the hassle of snow or the sweltering heat of the Florida sun. The temperature was quite nice because a constant cool breeze continued through our entire trip. In Salem we felt the eerie feeling of that town of lunatics. The children liked the people who dressed in the costumes and spoke in the accent of those times. I loved how you could ask the employees any question and they knew the answer right away. They knew what century we were in, what the food was like, how long people lived etc. From there we went to the Museum of Afro American History. It was absolutely marvelous. So much history and hard troubles. So many things that we were never taught and that the rest of the world never knew. Another great point of Massachusetts are all of the colleges. Boston, Harvard, Dartmouth and more of a wide array. All of high accreditation and all sights where I would not mind sending the children in their time. Massachusetts great all around especially Boston. Many attractions, all of the must sees and all of them ready to teach.

If you decide to go to the tropical paradise that is Hawaii don’t be too concerned with booking everything ahead of time. Once you arrive there are all sorts of program directors who can help you plan your holiday even when you are already there. For low prices!! That is what many of them are there for. Also, it is crazy easy to get a hotel with out pre-arranged everything. I challenged my wife (who likes to plan her trips to Tesco 3 days in advance) to let me take care of the holiday (I am the one who writes 6 page papers 3 hours before it is due). We arrived in Hawaii, walked into our first hotel of choice and were given a nice room at an even nicer rate. These islands are designed for us last minute planners.

International drive is full of entertainment but is really busy. If you hire a car it is very confusing to get around because of the crazy traffic, misleading on ramps, and winding roads. There was worlds of things to do, and all cheap but it was hard finding out what to do first. The food was good, and the restaurants brought you entirely new dishes of food if you did not like how they made it the first time. International drive is a big place and was quite noisy even in the hotel. Children running around and people screaming. It is not a good place for relaxing because everyone is on the go all of the time.

Everyone has got to love International Drive. International Drive is the place to be if you are in Orlando Florida. It is a long strip of fun, food, shows, people, and events. We went everywhere on the Drive and it took us our entire 2 and a half week holiday. Our hotel was big and very comfortable. If we did not like something in it, the staff made sure that they fixed it right away. They were always there when we called and provided many items that we need. Toothpaste, shampoos, and shower gel were all free. Outside of the hotel we had our choice of a wide array of things to do. We played mini golf which is harder than it sounds. We say weird things in the upside down building. We got absolutely soaked at the water park called Wet ‘n Wild. We rode down slides that extended for ages and rode rubber doughnuts down small tubes. To get to places that we could not walk around we took the I-Drive trolley that opened at 8am and closed at 10:30pm. When we stayed out longer we took a cab (taxi) that was ready available and cheap. We ate food at a restaurant that had hanging cars and ate at TGI Fridays. Everywhere we ate was cheap and even better when you thought of the conversion rates. Our favorite set of clubs, shopping, and food was Pointe Orlando which was an entire entertainment villiage. It had movie theatres and great places to walk and take photos and the amount of people was never overwhelming. I-Drive had all of our holiday pleasures from sling shot rides to quite evenings by the pool and driving up the road for beach fun. All you can eat buffet and colorful wonders. We must keep going back.

Cocoa Beach is an amazing experience with out a doubt. The crowned plaza hotel lived up to my expectation, you feel special when you arrive, the hotel was very up market and the hotel staff was very professional. The pool side was very spacious and there were waiters on hand if you wanted something to eat or drink, that’s what I call 1st class service. If you enjoy dining by the sea then a good choice is the Oh Shucks Seafood Bar and the Marlins Good Times Bar and Grill, the food is so delicious and the view is superb and calming. I would also recommend the Brevard Zoo, the animals are beautiful and my girlfriend got to feed the Monkeys and Giraffes, it was a good day out. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Cocoa Beach and will return there very soon.

It is full of dollar shops (50p shops) and there is a wide array of restaurants to choose from. And when my husband asked for entertainment, boy he got it. We attended the Arabian nights horse show, we saw jousting at Medieval Times, held baby alligators at Gatorland, and saw a whale show at Seaworld. The whales can actually do back flips and dance (the biggest fis that I have ever seen and to be able to do moves like that). Food…..a grand variety of food. Tijuana flats has the best Mexican food ever in life ever ever. The queso (cheese) was so addictive that we bought a big tub and ate nachos at the hotel. At pizza hut, we received the best service of all of the restarants via the phone. This one lady with an Island accept, I think her name was Rosabelle, treated us with top service and care. She was so nice that we ordered again later on in the week. Not only did Kissimmee offer many attractions but there were also many residential locations. We went through Hunter’s creek and this street called Peppermill where we saw the three most beautiful children playing in the yard with their father. They were two boys (one toddler) and a little girl and they simply looked happy and safe in their neighborhood. The residents of Kissimmee were very nice in the local markets and told us that hundreds of tourist visit all year round. We would like to go back and if we look to live in Florida, there is where we will be.

I don’t think that I can put into words how Miami is for a Holiday destination but I will give it a go. Miami is one of the best places I have ever been to on holiday, the place has absolutely anything you could want for a great holiday. Miami Beach is one of the most popular beaches in the world and although it can get a bit overcrowded at times, it is still a great beach to hang out and enjoy the wonderful sun, sand and sea. The evenings in Miami city are vibrant and buzzing with a plethora of clubs and bars playing a wide range of popular music for you to dance into the early hours of the morning. There are a number of great restaurants that serve great sea food and you can find pretty much any kind of food form Chinese to Mexican its all there!

I stayed in Treasure Island The luxor, Hurrahs, Ceasers, MGM, The stratsosphere and The Bellagio and every single one was as very different in its own way as it was excellant. I would advise getting out of your hotel and sample the others at least once as its really easy with the free drinks and no clocks in the casino to loose all track of time. The atmosphere, life and the weather are all brilliant, I cant wait to go back. My only problem is to which hotel coz I want2 stap in them all.

Highly recommend Vegas to anyone and everyone. The hotels are spectacular and there is something for everyone. Searching right now to book the next trip there!

It really doesn’t matter which hotel you stay at in Vegas as long as you stay at one that is on the strip you will be in good hands and make sure you go with deep pockets as you probably will end up spending 3 times more than you expect to. A few things you should get out of the way before you hit the tables as you won’t budge once you start gambling so make sure you see the singing fountain at the Bellagio the White Tigers at the MGM if they are still there and the Venetian. To be honest all the Hotels on the strip have got lots to see but they all have one thing in common when it comes to activities and that is gambling. The good thing is that as long as you are playing at a table drinks, any drink is absolutely free!

There is just so much to see and do there that you can never do it all in one visit, although I think it will be a while before we go back there as it’s not cheap.

The city is very historical with lots of great monuments and museums to see which makes sense as it is one of the oldest cities in the country. I was particularly surprised with the really vibrant nightlife in the city; there were so many great clubs and bars playing a wide range of music which was a lot of fun. Boston is a great city to visit and the nightlife is just as good as New York without being as crowded.

If you want a unique travel site I suggest you go to Williamsburg. I don't like following the crowd and going to the beach or theme park to holiday. If you are like me, then trust me when I tell you to go. It is a destination for those of us who like history and such. Everything is set in colonial times, even the dress and accents of the workers. There are over 450 public buildings, homes, taverns, and shopping stores that are set in the 18th century. Every worker there is in character and if you ask them about their positions they can give you accurate information. The taverns have non-mainstream dishes at moderate prices. You can write an entire report on Williamsburg in the colonial times just from a days visit.

From the moment that I met him I have known that it has been my husband's dream to see the Grand Canyon in Arizona. I don't know how this dream came to be. I think he saw it is some movie became intrigued, researched it and feel in love. So we took holiday there. I was not too keen on the out doors and big holes so my part of the holiday was the Canyon Villa Bed and Breakfast Inn in Sedona. This place is so luxurious and comfortable that it was a home away from home. We could see how amazing nature was from the windows of our rooms and I began to develop a great love and respect for it. The food and service in the inn was exquisite and the entire in was impeccably clean. The Grand Canyon did prove grand to me. The drop down was so significant that it stole your breath away and even though he denies it, I saw tears well up in his eyes. That man loves Arizona nature like I love shoes. The weather in Arizona was not what I was used to but it was nice. I did like being in the desert. I used to think that deserts were waste lands but not Arizona. All sorts of wildlife and water hiding places. I was surprised to see life in general. That holiday was tops and I can see us there again.

It is almost embarrassingly easy to find a hotel in Georgia without having reservations in advance. Georgia was a nice trip because it turned our angry panic at the aunt who forgot to make the reservations into an outstanding time. College Park Hotel was in a lovely part of town and had vacancies. Unbelievable low prices especially considering that it was located close to Six Flags, Underground Atlanta, the Georgia Dome, the World of Coca Cola, and the Mall. We took sight of the Underground Atlanta which is a shopping center under the ground with places that you can record your own music and a million and one places to eat. At six flags my sister almost tossed her cookies on the roller coaster. The Coca Cola factory is great to see. We sampled how the drink tastes all over the world and bought all types of souvenirs for the family who did not make it. All tickets to everywhere can be purchased at the gate. There is no need to book in advance especially since you are handed discount books at the point of purchase.

New York State is a unique combination of people from all walks of life. Even as a tourist I found many people there that shared my heritage. In addition, it is a big state with big things to do. We visited the heaviest and tallest woman on the planet. Probably the only one whose weight is easily admitted to'the statue of liberty. We climbed all the way to the top and saw the most picturesque view of the city and state. We ate big burgers and big ice cream portions. Uncle Harry tried to eat a big steak under an hour so that he could have a free meal (he could not eat it all). Our plane landed in Buffalo so for jet lag sake we stayed at the Mansion on Delaware Avenue in Buffalo. Don't be fooled by the name. The building was tall and the service was nice but the prices were not outrageous. We lodged for reasonable prices. We took a train to Time Square and fell in love with the lights and sights. Trains took us everywhere and since we bought weekly passes, did not take us for too much money. Broadway was thrilling. We saw 3 shows and stood clapping at the end for all of them.

Well hop on over to the Museum of Fine Arts, Institute of Contemporary Art, or the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum. Do you want to sightsee? Travel to the Theatre on Wheels movie tour, the Freedom trail walking tour, Boston Harbor Island and Ferries, Historic Swan Boat tours, of take the Boston Duck tours (I really liked that one). Or do you just want to have fun? Then off to Six Flag New England Adventure Park, Samuel Adams Brewery, 5WITS, and the Boston Common Frog Pond, for you. How do I know about all of this? I went on holiday with 12 people all with different tastes and holiday pleasures. I have seen and done it all and Boston is truly the city of eclectic tastes.

Boston was an extremely cool holiday with plenty to do and see. If you decide to holiday there, there are a number of locations that I recommend. Please, you must go to the Salem Witch town. Hear the story of how the silly towns people convinced themselves that their neighbors where witches and killed each other. Participate in a fake witch trails. Also explore the Peabody Essex Museum. Even the name has it sounding special. It contains New England's vast history mixed with the regions creative art work pieces. Have a stab at the Fenway Park Tour. It is the oldest park in profession League Baseball and where Babe Ruth set his records. If that does not tickle your fancy go spend a day visiting the other half at the Newport Mansions. There you can see some of the biggest houses not made for royalty and have the feel of Vanderbilt house. I have gone to each of the places and I highly recommend them all.

My boyfriend chose to go to University in Boston Massachusetts. Why so far away?I don't know. Perhaps it is because that was the home of his top choice University. On my holiday there I discovered that there was a lot more to this town than the school. I had a superb time taking the Trolleys to different parts of Town. I did not realize that they had Trolleys outside of California. My favorite activity was the whale watching. They took us out for a 4 hour cruise from the Stellwagon Bank to see humpback and finback whales jump out of the water. We would not have believed that mammals that size could jump and turnover so if we had not seen it with our own eyes. Have you every heard of the legendary Paul Revere. He was the bloke who rode around the town yelling the British are coming to warn neighbors to wake up for war. We took a tour of his 19th century home. Limited time prevented me from seeing the other 70 sights that the town offers but I plan to several holidays to visit Charlie.

My brother and I did not want to go to Cape Cod for any reason on this earth. It is situated in eastern Massachusetts and sounded dryer than a sun dried tomato. Our parents forced us to go so that we could spend time with our Aunt, Uncle, and cousins. We were down the whole travel there but our family changed our minds once we arrived in the Cape. On the first day they took us to the beach. How marvelous. We never knew beach food could be this good. A touch of Tai food thrown in with a big dessert bar was a dreamer's gift. The beach was nice and had rock formations dividing the shore and the water. The down side was that the water was dreadfully cold and it took our bodies a while to adjust to it. Its name was Nantucket Sound and we were able to see the colors change as the sun set. Cape Cod was close to Plymouth Rock so we saw the ships on which the people came over to settle on new land. They also took us to see other interesting historical sights like the John F Kennedy display. It was not so bad. Ok it was fun.

We refused to believe that we would have to pay and arm and a leg in pounds in order to go to Hawaii. For this reason my 3 flat mates and I picked an Island, bought the cheapest airfare tickets that we could possibly find and flew to Kauai without any plans or hotel reservations. It took us a good portion of our first day but we found a hotel that was very cheap. Aston Maui Lu Resort had the best prices and still had enough vacancies for walk in. We spent ?20 per person per night which was cheaper than anything that we had found online. From there we learned how to hula dance; the most embarrassing experience of my life because I could never get my hips right. We also swam in water that was replenished by waterfalls. Even though it was not as easy as we thought it would be, going without plans and reservations did prove successful and much cheaper.

The New England region is the smallest of the regions in the United States. It is composed of farmland, pasturing animals and a gentle climate. My cousins and I took holiday there to learn a good deal about American culture. Text books say that it played a major role in early American development because it was the country's cultural and economic center. Perhaps ideas from back then can help developing countries now. There was so much history in each brick and each state in the region and we went to each state: Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. We visited Plymouth where the Mayflower first landed when the settlers first came over from England. We heard the plight of the slaves and saw the terrible inhumane conditions in which they were treated and kept. We saw the house that inspired the novel Little Women and we visited the Otis House Museum. We saw war reenactments and went to a place that is set up in the manner in which they lived in colonial times. People were dressed and spoke like they spoke. They cooked similar dishes and tended to the animals. They even had children playing the parts. The rich history was astounding.

To celebrate our graduations from graduate school, my sister and I opted to take our mum on holiday to Hawaii. That was an out of the world gift. Hawaii is made of up six different islands that offer varying events for varying personalities. We went to the tranquil island of Lanai and stayed in Hotel Lanai. It must be the smallest hotel in the world because it only had 11 rooms. We wanted to go small on lodging so that it was more affordable and quaint. Hotel Lanai was located in a residential community near the center of town so we found many places for dinner and spots where we carried on memorable conversations with the natives. The fresh air on the island simply rejuvenated you. There was the scent of flowers in the air and upon entering the beach water it was warm right away. There was none of that silly fighting with the cold water, finally jumping in so that your body adjusts to it faster. The views from dinner, and tanning, were unbelievable. And, the people, oh the people knew the definition of hospitality front and back. We jet skied and a young boy taught us to surf. I have never been so embarrassed a when a 12 year old did tricks on his board and my sister and I could not even stand on the board. We remained on our bellies and drifted and laughed.

I know that this is sad, but I am from Florida and I want to have the first week of my honeymoon in Grand Floridian Hotel in Walt Disney World. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is one of the most magnificent hotels that I have ever seen in my entire life. It is big, bold and beautiful and since I am going to go all out on my wedding anyway, I might as well fit the bill for a paradise honeymoon. Yes, it is that amazing that it is considered to be the TOP Disney resort. The Grand Floridian has a majestic turn of the century charm. It has hundreds of rooms with a full-service spa and elegant restaurants like Victoria and Albert's. The building is tall and white, with red roof tops. The rooms are so very nice that I feel like I princess whenever I am in one of them. Because it is so enchanting it is quite expensive. There is a price for the ultimate pampering. It is located on the Seven Seas lagoon and you can see Magic Kingdom from many of the rooms. Even though it is very big and located close to so much, the hotel still maintains a quiet personal atmosphere. You can even relax in the lobby looking up at the chandeliers to the sound of someone playing the grand piano. All I know is that someone opened up a story book and decided to create a brilliant hotel out of its pages.

My favorite theme park in the entire state of Florida is Universal's Islands of Adventure. That theme park is perfect for people who still love going on crazy rides that make your heart race and your stomach jump. Islands of Adventure is made of six islands that are arranged around a lagoon. Each Island has its own theme and fun things to do. My favorite island is Marvel Superhero Island. Each ride is themed after a comic book character like the Incredible Hulk roller coaster or the Spider man action ride. The rides are much better after dark because the neon lights lead the way. Another awesome island is Jurassic Park. It is designed with the movie in mind. The Jurassic Park River Adventure ride was super cool because it took us through the exhibits of Jurassic Park and ended in a 26 m drop away from T-Rex. The food was really good but expensive but what do you expect?it is a theme park. The other islands were cool too but I was there for the thrill, not for education or for shows. I will go back as many times as I can. It is a great alternative to Disney because the rides were geared to the older crowds.

I had never heard of Sunny Isles, Florida so I was very skeptical when my girlfriend suggested that we take holiday there. She said that it was the perfect holiday spot because it was moderately priced and looked great when she looked it up online. Stating that it was not a long drive from Miami was how she convinced me to go. Well, Sunny Isles was a big beach town. Since we traveled with both families we rented a vacation home on the beach which did prove to be very cheap. There we spent a lot of time on the beach. The beach was nice and had lots to do. My brothers and I entered a Volleyball tournament where we lost to the natives. There were all sorts of food at the beach and places to rent Kayaks to go the water. My surfing experience was fun but I will never put myself in a position where I fall in the water that many times again. Besides the beach there was not much to do in Sunny Isles so we rented a car and drove towards Miami. Of course we did many nights in Miami but we spent our days at the Museums and the student film centers. It was interesting to see students create and direct their own productions. Sunny Isles was a nice beach town and close to other towns to do other things.

MIAMI! What can I say about Miami than what everyone describes? Miami is where all the action happens. Beautiful people, incredible food, and places to party until the sun comes up and sets again. Our hotel, Riu Florida Beach Hotel was in the middle of it all and everything went on in it. Immense swimming pools, all night bars, dancing lessons and fancy room service. You open the door and step out on the balcony and the big blue water is right in front of your eyes. It feels better than it looks and the white sand is perfect for on shore beach activities, and volleyball too. But the night time made you not want to come home to even all that. The place to be to club was Park West in Down Town MIA. You go to one club that closes at 2, then go to the one that closes at 6am then over to the one that is going until 8am. Grab breakfast and walk around the town to see these amazing people enjoying life. Music everywhere all day. In the corner store we danced with the people in the aisles. Even the hot dog stand had music and right around the corner there was a dance off contest. And there always seems to be a cultural something going on. The Haitians were having a celebration and gave out food that I want to take home with me.

Located 15 minutes away from the parks of Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista was our holiday destination of choice. We did not want to have a hotel inside of Disney because it would be entirely too expensive so we chose a place that was more pleasant for our wallets. Lake Buena Vista is utterly precious. My husband spent much vacation time at its big golf course and we had picnics on the lake. Not many residents live there so we were surrounded my nice shops that we made for us, the tourists. We went to the movie theatre, visited parts of Orlando and even made our way to Universal Studios. Very different from Disney, the family had wonderful full days at each park. In Disney we had Mickey Mouse and the High School Musical dancers. In Universal we had big Dinosaurs and big shows. In our efforts to see how the ?Floridians? live, we ventured out to the Celebration community. Oh, the houses were lovely in their old time theme. They looked like American houses from the 1930s. Although far from being old, we were told that the community was built less then 15 years ago. We also went to a sort of year round fair called Old Town. The children enjoyed cotton candy and Ferris Wheels, car shows displaying cars from decades ago, and the food.

The title is true, I have officially fallen in love with Key West and now I am to convince my husband that we must move there immediately. We took a family holiday there a couple of weeks ago and absolutely enjoyed it. The sights, sounds, smells, and feel were simply wonderful. One of our first experiences of Key West was our hotel concierge. We asked him what were some of the things that we could do on our trip and he gave us the list of: Back-Country Safari, Boat Rentals, Dive-In-A-Day, Dolphin Tours, Dry Tortugas, Fishing, Glass bottom Boats, Jet Ski, Kayaking, Parasail, Scuba Diving, Sky Diving, Snorkeling, Submarine Tour, and Sunset Cruise. We thanked him, sorted out the list and were on our way. Sky Diving was trip number one. It was the hardest in overcoming our fears so we tried it straight away. What a thrill, the wind in my hair, and the feeling of actually doing it was exhilarating. Next we picked up the children and took out the Glass Bottom Boats. It felt quite odd standing on water and being able to look down upon the sea life. The children had fun in their attempts to reach for the fish. They had more fun in swimming with the dolphins. I have never seen a gentler creature as dolphins who allow children to hang on their fins and swim. The tropical themed housing is not where I will set up our home but somewhere close.

Well, they truly knew much about the places of which they sang. A few months passed my husband and I took the children on Holiday the family to Key Largo for pure beach perfection and we achieved it. To commence our hotel was the most splendid structure that I have ever seen. We took temporary residence at Key Largo Grande Resort and Beach club for six nights and five days. Although we were exhausted from travel our bodies could not convince our minds to take rest because we wanted to explore it. It was a massive building with in door and out door pools and restaurants. It was right on the beach so we had swim time before it became too dark. There were lights and vendors all long the ocean front and we danced and dined to music on our very first night. At the Hotel we saw a bride in her spectacular wedding gown enter a room. They did the ceremony in the hotel. Not too far from the Hotel was the Everglades National Park. The children cherished seeing the wildlife and plant life and pointed out alligator eyes with the tour guide. For a night we left the children with the local babysitting assistance and my husband and I enjoyed a single night in Miami. It is a glamorous as everyone describes. Key Largo was island paradise at its best. Nature trails, Jet Skiing, and white sand beaches gave us the feel of perfect tranquility. I would not mind being stranded on this island.

If you find yourself in Orlando, Florida, then I-Drive is the place to be. International drive is the tourist strip of the Sunny State. I took holiday there for one week and planned to venture out of the Drive but could not find myself to do so. There was too much to do there and I just touched on everything in that week. The initial thing that caught my eye was the upside down house that resembled the White House of the United States. The house was literally upside down and upon entering I discovered why. It was the Ripley's Believe it or not Museum and had on display many wonders. They call it the museum of the odd, unusual and unbelievable. It had some of the world's largest and smallest things ever. Further down the large and long strip my friends and I took chance at the sitting bungee toss. You sit on a chair that is attached to large bungee cords, you then are lowered down the platform and then shot up in the air. We went upside down, around and over. We loved it. The shopping and eating on I-Drive was incredible because it was good and cheap. I got 12 souvenirs for under $39 (?19.50). On the strip there are hotels that rate from very cheap to expensive and fulfilled the taste of everyone. At night our favorite spot was the Glo night club because each night was a different theme. One night would be Latin and another would be pop music night. It was called Glo because if you wore anything white or yellow the club lighting would have it glow. We rode bumper cars, small roller costars and ate the biggest breakfast we have ever experienced at the Ponderosa Buffet.

It is said that most people only come to Fort Lauderdale to retire and I can see why. Retirement is supposed to be for your enjoyment. It is a time after work that you have earned to merely relax and spend your leisure time. In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, you can do so. It is a glimpse of life when you are on constant holiday. I had the privilege to spend two and a half weeks there and came out feeling fully relaxed. It is not a fast paced town in fact it is completely the opposite. Gorgeous houses and hotels, gardens and greenery and an ambiance that told you to take your time and slow down. In Fort Lauderdale I had a true holiday. I did not run from sight to sight after getting little sleep just so that I could see everything. Instead I visited upscale shops and ate at high quality restaurants. I swam on a number of beaches and took a stroll down Las Olas Boulevard to visit actual boutiques. At night the Riverfront is packed with free entertainment of all kinds so I had to go more than once to experience it all. The family and I went to the Everglades Holiday Park and the Museum of Discovery and Science and learned a great deal about Florida history. We also rented a small boat and took it along the canals. We were told that Fort Lauderdale used to be a noisy, tacky Spring Break stop. I am glad we came after the time of change.

I have been to many beaches and Cocoa beach is one that I would holiday at again. The beach is massive and when my grandmother and I went was full of people on all sides. Cocoa Beach is what you would think of when trying to define beach town. The entire town remains in beach theme with big lobsters as signs for seafood restaurants and surf boards signs along the major road. The prices of the hotels and attractions also had the feel of a small town by the fact that the prices were really good. While grandmother took in some sun on the sand, I went deep sea fishing. This is a sport where you do not need much training but you get to see fish with the most amazing colors. I also took a chance at Parasailing and have never felt freer. Grandmother had a fantastic time shopping and golfing and together we went aboard the Carnival Cruise Line ship and enjoyed a little gambling and karaoke singing. At night we had splendid dinners with smiling attractive waiters. After dinner we would take in small shows. My grandmother enjoyed the jazz clubs the most. One of our last ventures was the eco-tour where we were placed face to face with real wildlife.

They call it the sunshine state because it is almost permanently sunny and I am glad to report that I experienced all of that sun during my winter vacation. Florida is one of the top holiday hotspots because it is so hot. My family and I took holiday there to escape the snow. We spend time in Miami, Orlando, and Tampa. In Miami we took in the night life and went on tours that showed us the locations of the houses of the stars. We saw Latin and African Dancing shows and tasted spicy Cuban food. In Orlando we visited Rollins College, a beautiful private University displaying Spanish Mediterranean architecture in its buildings. There we spoke to the students to have a feel of the town and explore the place where my younger brother might attend University. We had dinner at Arabian Nights which is a dinner show with a Middle Eastern theme. Men and women did stunts on horses and the horses danced. We passed several orange groves as we made our way through the state. In Tampa we visited the Dinosaur museum and spent from early morning until late night at Busch Gardens Adventure Park. Florida is a true sign of sun, hospitality, and a good time.

Clearwater, Florida, USA The Clearest Water Ever

Clearwater beach in Clearwater, Florida has the clearest water in the entire state. I have lived in Florida for the last 5 years and have gone to almost all of the beaches but Clearwater is my favorite beach of all. The sand is not that annoying sand that is hard to walk on and bothers the feet but is soft, yet firm, and a lovely shade of white. The sun shines bright on the land and you can hear the live music from the most popular restaurant at almost all points of the beach. The water is absolutely amazing because it is warm and relaxing. You could simply lie down and sleep from comfort if it were not for the waves. On the strip that runs alongside the beach there are many family owned restaurants to choose from. Those were the best places in which to eat because they had the most reasonable prices and the best homemade food. The shops also had smart pricing. I got a dress for under $10 (?5). You can spend a few days well in Clearwater at the beach alone. To venture out you can visit Busch Gardens which is under an hour away. It is one of the best theme parks in Florida with animal and animal size rides.

Santa Monica was the city in which we stayed for the beginning half of our honeymoon. It was an excellent place to spend our first days as husband and wife. We stayed at the Hotel Santa Monica where we were treated with top service and smiled. The beach was our first venture out. The soft white sand felt fabulous under our feet and we slept and tanned to the sounds of the waves. We traveled down the Santa Monica Boulevard from Hollywood and through West Beverly Hills, Century City, Westwood and West Las Angeles. We took pictures in front of Paramount Studios, the Museum of Television and Radio, and Warner Hollywood Studios. The seafood was the freshest that I have ever tasted and the local musicians and entertainers kept the streets full of life. We were fortunate to be in Santa Monica when the fair came to town and rode rides, played games and snuggled on the Ferris Wheel. For our last day and night there we stayed at the Santa Monica Luxury hotel and were completely pampered. We felt like royalty and to top it off we took a boat ride on the big ship at night. Night life was great there. We hit the local salsa clubs y bailaba (danced) all night long.

California & Nevada - Other, California & Las Vegas, USA My Stage

I must admit that I had a really nice time in Nevada. At first I did not want to go because I did not think it had much to offer besides the girl friends parents and Las Vegas but a little research helped us go a long way. Hoover Dam was the most impressive piece of engineering work that I have ever seen. This man made Dam holds back tons and tons of water from the Colorado River and Lake Mead. It took workers 5 years to construct and is still holding strong after over 70 years. From the Dam you can actually see Lake Mead in all of its brilliance. A truly romantic view indeed and the stage on which I proposed. Nevada is also the lodging place for The Great Basin National Park. In the park we took a tour through Lehman Caves and could not believe the incredible rock formations. What a sight. Surprisingly the caves had open spaces and room for animals and trees that were over 5000 years old. Las Vegas was a must because we wanted to gamble the correct way in the gambling capital of the world. We walked along the strip and explored Downtown Las Vegas. My fianc? and I also spent time in Overton where we got away from the parents and relaxed in a great hotel. We visited the Valley of Fire State Park which is the main attraction of Overton. There we hiked and purchased pieces of infamous the red rock. The amusing part of the trip is that my fianc? had lived in Nevada for over 8 years and had not once visited any of the sights. She said that she had missed out.

Yosemite National Park, California & Las Vegas, USA Water, Earth, Climate and Ice

Did you know that over 3.5 million people visit Yosemite National Park each year? Last year my best friend and I became a part of that statistic. Growing up I had frequently heard stories of how stunning this part was so I wanted to see all of this beauty and nature for myself. There we saw firsthand the gigantic Yosemite Valley that stretched for Kilometers. We also felt the heat from the geysers and felt the massive presence of our new friend El Capitan. El Capital is an enormous cliff that looms over the Valley and that is made of granite. We took a quick try at Rock climbing but our lack of training prevented us from lasting too long or reaching too high up on the cliff. Big rocks were not my friend's favorite so we walked along side the waterfalls and the wonderfully clear streams. The meadows of Tuolumne and Dana were a treat to experience. There we discovered why meadows are mentioned so frequently in poetry: they are simply breath taking. Yosemite stretches across the slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountain chain. We were left speechless at the sight of the river running alongside mountains and cliffs. Mountains, wetlands, Bridaveil and Ribbon waterfalls, cliffs, hanging valleys, glaciers and streams are all hosted here. There is so much to do that there is not enough time to do everything that you would like to do. Yosemite National Park is the perfect combination of water, land, climate, and ice. I can see why my parents spoke about it so.

San Diego, California & Las Vegas, USA What's great about San Diego

San Diego is the place that we often heard of whenever California was mentioned so we decided to vacation there. That was a great decision especially since it was getting cold at home and the weather was great on the west coast. Because we were tourists we decided to do what tourists do and visit the most popular sights. At the top of our list was to Tijuana by Trolley. It was just as good as we envisioned it. We spent an entire day there shopping and looking around. The shops were full of hand crafted items, quality but smartly priced leather, and cigars. There was where I actually learned how to bargain and I convinced many a shopkeeper to reduce the price on the goods that I purchased. Other firsts for me was my first experience at a Greyhound race and at Jai Alai. What was funny is that we actually saw a real bull fight. I thought that you could only get those in Spain!!! Next we went to Old Town for Mexican food and history tours. Since we were on vacation, we went all out and took the San Diego Harbor Cruise. Fantastic. It took us away from the busy city and on to the water so see actual sea lions resting on buoys. For education and culture sake we took trips to the Balboa Parks and Museum and the San Diego Zoo. We found out why San Diego is popular.

People said that I was crazy when I wanted to take holiday by myself but I let them know that I wanted to get away. Lake Tahoe was a great place to do so. It is a quiet place with a lot to do but a lot to do on your own. It was not one of those family places were everywhere you looked there were people together; no I felt quite comfortable alone. For one thing being in California I frequented many casinos and practiced my gambling skills. I have been gambling since age 5 so I won some money and did not lose my lifesavings. My girlfriend suggested in I stayed in the Siena Spa Hotel Casino to pamper myself. I tried it because she told me to bring her back the receipt. It was not too expensive but you did see less money in your pocket after a casino visit. I ate lunch and dinner at B.L. Bliss state part to the view of a serene lake. I much enjoyed the Truckee River Walk Park where I saw small waterfalls coming out of the side of the walkways. There were unique shops there that sold things that you don't usually see and I watched a cheap movie at the local theatre. My favorite place by far, however, was the National Automobile Museum. My brothers and I have always been into cars so it was cool to see the old Ford's and the evolutions of cars. I will definitely be back but with my girlfriend next time. There was much to do alone but lots of things to do with others as well.

California & Las Vegas, USA The Strip and Ghost Town

California & Las Vegas was a good combination for our road trip. Just graduating from University my friends and I wanted to venture out and do a last journey together being careless and fancy free. We choose these locations because they were a good distance from Georgia, so we had time on the road to bond. We also chose them because each had its own attractions to offer. Our first stop was Las Vegas where of course we spent the week on the strip. What! The lights and the shows were fabulous and the casinos were massive. We did lose some money in our attempts at gambling but it was all in fun. Some things that we did not like were the ridiculous amount of strip malls, and little perfect communities where everything looked planned and were the same. What we loved were the cheaper than expected motels and Downtown Vegas. Downtown we these buildings that looked like they missed the memo that we are now in 2007 because they look like they are from 4 decades ago. They were ugly and big but fill of history. For the nature part we visited the Red Rock Canyon and the Zion National Park. After the week was complete we headed over to California to spend time on the beach and see how they really live in The OC (Orange County). The beaches were big and the water was amazing but was at times really crowded. For the best beach experience we went early in the day and during the week. We also used a guide that pointed out the road trip's must see sights. We saw the Giant Orange stand, Dinosaur Land Remains, White House Doll Museum, the 1989 Earthquake Epic Center and the Ghost Town and Freak Lamb. We did not have time to see Hollywood or the OC but there are always road trip reunions.

Yes, I understand that it is a small town but in Kissimmee, Florida you will have the time of your life. Kissimmee is the home of the famous Walt Disney World. My husband, my daughter and I had the chance to visit all 4 parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and MGM). They had things to do for us and for 4 year old Kiara. We saw and pet the animals, rode big and small roller coasters, saw delightful shows and ate big turkey leg drums. We stayed at the Quality Inn suites located in central Kissimmee and on our way about we looked on either side of the major highway and saw cows and horses grazing. Our hotel was in a good position from Disney that we escaped the traffic of our fellow tourists but were still able to see the fireworks display from the Grand Floridian Hotel. When were had our fill of Disney we participated in less commercial activities. We fed baby alligators, we rode canoes and saw adult alligators, and we even left Kiara at the babysitting service and took a hot air balloon ride followed by a picnic in at the Kissimmee Lake Front Park. It was delightful and our days were always filled with something to do. And the locals, we loved the locals. They offered service with a smile and did not hesitate to give us directions if we were lost. We had so much to do in this little town. It was more than we imagined.

Wow I enjoyed every last minute of my stay in New York City! I visited Central Park, and the view was so beautiful.. I went round Christmas time and it was amazing, very busy though, plenty of tourists as well. 5th Avenue wasnt what I expected but still a good days shopping though. I also went on the Staten Island Ferry which was cool and then my next stop was the Rockefeller Center, that was a top experience as I enjoy Ice skating so this was a dream for me. The statue of Liberty was a good site see as well, especially at night... The hotel I stayed in was nice, wasn't 5 star but it was still big and beautiful and had a view to die for... I never wanted it to end, but sadly it did. Everything is so over sized in New York, food, shops, hotels, buildings etc, like Alice in wonderland..

I even stopped a yellow taxi, that was well cool, I felt like a proper American.

OMG this was the best holiday ever. And i have been many places. I and three other people decided to go on a fun holiday to the USA. Orlando was where we went as it is so close to everything we wanted to do and see. We went to Disney, Safari, Universal studios, and swimming with Dolphins. It was out of this world man, we had so many jokes. The Dolphin bit was crazy never thought I'd enjoy it that much, these creatures are so clever I'm telling you and you can't help but love them. The Safari was real fun, saw so many wild animals and driving in the park looking for them was an adventure of its own. The rides are brilliant, and Alton Towers can't match up the slightest. Too much to do over there, clubs, bars, restaurant, shops, whatever you please and the food is great. People are nice and get so excited when they find out you are from the UK which was funny. Great Place, Great Holiday, and friendly people.

Just came back from LA about a month ago and i had a fantastic time with my cuz. Because of the two dollar pound, we went out every night and got drunk. Love the atmosphere over their and the people are really friendly, they would walk past you in the morning and say good morning for no reason its bizarre. There are nice restaurants and the McDonald's burgers are so much bigger than the UK ones ha-ha. If you want to go shopping than LA would be great for that as the shops are great and there is so much to choose from and of course twice as cheaper than the UK. Loved it over there and we planning to go again next year. No regrets. Just Fun Fun Fun and hot ladies.

Excellent! Vegas was fantastic, we stayed at the Flamingo right in the middle of the strip which made it easy for us to get around. The musical fountains at the Bellagio is somethign to look forward to. Each casino has its own theme and it is well worth visiting the Luxor, Mirage, the Venetian, New York New and if you get time try and see a show there are so many to choose from. Try and do stuff indoors during the day as it is scorching hot outside, the eveings are pleasent though. the only downside to my whole trip was that i came back broke thanks to the the evil game of Black Jack.

I Love New York! Well most of the time! It's definitely somewhere that you have to see. Everything is so BIG! And there is so much to do! a weekend break or even a week isn't long enough. I went for a week at Christmas. Returning the day after Boxing Day. The sightseeing and the atmosphere was fantastic. And the SHOPPING! It absolutely makes more sense to have sales BEFORE christmas rather than in January when you've already bought everything! Check out Fashion Avenue (where Macy's is) and Broadway. SHopping on 5th Avenue is overrated. We have H&M and Nike at home! CHeck out Bloomingdales... just to see the awesome sight of the shop floor you've EVER seen! but if you want to actually shop there then to beat the crowds there's another Bloomingdales on Broadway in Soho. Standing at the top of the Empire State Building in December is incredible. It also makes it abundantly clear that Naomi Watts would have died of hypothermia had she actually been on top of there with King Kong in that strappy dress! I've never been so cold in my life! And I don't think I've ever seen so much of the earth at once (apart form looking out a plane window - of course!) Give Ellis Island as miss. It's interesting but if you're not American and your ancestors didn't go through there on their way to the "new world"... you just dont get it! The same boat takes you to Liberty Island which is definitely worth the trip. The staute of liberty is smaller than I imagined but its amazing to see. Ice Skating at the Rockafella Centre and the Radio City Christmas show... so cool! And Central Park is gorgeous in the winter. Go to atleast one museum. The Guggenheim Museum was stunning. For food check out China Town and Little Italy. Although if you're not into oversized burgers and bottomless coke and general obesity causing foodstuffs then you wont find much else outside of those areas. And salt is NOT flavour. Flavour is flavour! lol I was there during the transit strike which was annoying as I had to walk EVERYWHERE. But I did hitch a ride with a Mum who was charging people to take them over the bridge from Brooklyn to Manhattan and met loads of REAL new yorkers also hitching rides. And the next day I had to walk over Manhattan Bridge to Canal Street which was FREEZING but stunning views of the city.

New York is a great city for a holiday and i wish i had time to stay longer than a week however you can get a lot done as most of the good stuff is in Manhattan. The Statue of Liberty and Empire State are must essential for any trip to NY. The only problem i had with new york is that its always so humid. I strongly recommend that anyone going on holiday to new york, shop till you drop! with so many great shopping malls and at the current exchange rate its well worth it.
