If you want a unique travel site I suggest you go to Williamsburg. I don't like following the crowd and going to the beach or theme park to holiday. If you are like me, then trust me when I tell you to go. It is a destination for those of us who like history and such. Everything is set in colonial times, even the dress and accents of the workers. There are over 450 public buildings, homes, taverns, and shopping stores that are set in the 18th century. Every worker there is in character and if you ask them about their positions they can give you accurate information. The taverns have non-mainstream dishes at moderate prices. You can write an entire report on Williamsburg in the colonial times just from a days visit.Arizona, USA - Allocation on Arrival / OtherResorts, USA What A Wonder Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Diane Date of travel: 24/09/2006
From the moment that I met him I have known that it has been my husband's dream to see the Grand Canyon in Arizona. I don't know how this dream came to be. I think he saw it is some movie became intrigued, researched it and feel in love. So we took holiday there. I was not too keen on the out doors and big holes so my part of the holiday was the Canyon Villa Bed and Breakfast Inn in Sedona. This place is so luxurious and comfortable that it was a home away from home. We could see how amazing nature was from the windows of our rooms and I began to develop a great love and respect for it. The food and service in the inn was exquisite and the entire in was impeccably clean. The Grand Canyon did prove grand to me. The drop down was so significant that it stole your breath away and even though he denies it, I saw tears well up in his eyes. That man loves Arizona nature like I love shoes. The weather in Arizona was not what I was used to but it was nice. I did like being in the desert. I used to think that deserts were waste lands but not Arizona. All sorts of wildlife and water hiding places. I was surprised to see life in general. That holiday was tops and I can see us there again.USA - Allocation on Arrival / OtherResorts, USA It's so easy Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Mike Date of travel: 16/07/2007
It is almost embarrassingly easy to find a hotel in Georgia without having reservations in advance. Georgia was a nice trip because it turned our angry panic at the aunt who forgot to make the reservations into an outstanding time. College Park Hotel was in a lovely part of town and had vacancies. Unbelievable low prices especially considering that it was located close to Six Flags, Underground Atlanta, the Georgia Dome, the World of Coca Cola, and the Mall. We took sight of the Underground Atlanta which is a shopping center under the ground with places that you can record your own music and a million and one places to eat. At six flags my sister almost tossed her cookies on the roller coaster. The Coca Cola factory is great to see. We sampled how the drink tastes all over the world and bought all types of souvenirs for the family who did not make it. All tickets to everywhere can be purchased at the gate. There is no need to book in advance especially since you are handed discount books at the point of purchase.USA - Allocation on Arrival / Other Resorts, USA - Allocation on Arrival / OtherResorts, USA The Ultimate Resort Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Meagan Date of travel: 07/09/2005
I know that this is sad, but I am from Florida and I want to have the first week of my honeymoon in Grand Floridian Hotel in Walt Disney World. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is one of the most magnificent hotels that I have ever seen in my entire life. It is big, bold and beautiful and since I am going to go all out on my wedding anyway, I might as well fit the bill for a paradise honeymoon. Yes, it is that amazing that it is considered to be the TOP Disney resort. The Grand Floridian has a majestic turn of the century charm. It has hundreds of rooms with a full-service spa and elegant restaurants like Victoria and Albert's. The building is tall and white, with red roof tops. The rooms are so very nice that I feel like I princess whenever I am in one of them. Because it is so enchanting it is quite expensive. There is a price for the ultimate pampering. It is located on the Seven Seas lagoon and you can see Magic Kingdom from many of the rooms. Even though it is very big and located close to so much, the hotel still maintains a quiet personal atmosphere. You can even relax in the lobby looking up at the chandeliers to the sound of someone playing the grand piano. All I know is that someone opened up a story book and decided to create a brilliant hotel out of its pages. |
