Kalkan
A beautiful fishing village surrounded by rolling hills, basking in glorious sunshine. wow what a place its so pretty its my favourite place.
A small but perfect village thats quaint on a scale for turkey.On a evening Kalkan comes alive and when its dinner-time you eat upon the roofs its paradise its wonderful the beautiful Kalkan

The village of Eregli is located in northwest Turkey and lies in the province of Kocaeli bordering the Izmit Bay. The village Eregli provides wonderful weather and the unique waters off its coastline are very inviting. Whether you're alone or with a family will actually determine which region you will enjoy visiting the most. It is an opportunity that must be had at least once-in-a-lifetime!! we went asa family in may 2009 and it was the most beautiful polaces ive ever seen we were surrounded by mountains the weather was amazing and my 4 yr old daughter had the time of her life. best holiday EVER.Turkey - Other, Turkey Icmeler. Great holiday place. Rating: 10/10

resonable prices for everything, friendly people, lots and lots to do just a case of fitting it all in!
excursion to Dalyan is a must, go past the turtle beach and head for the mud bath, it's amazing.
it's imposible to get bored in turkey, there is much to do whether it's relaxing to a turkish bath, or going wild on the watersports. Its a place for everyone.
the hassle is a lot to cope with but once you pick up on how to get around it, it's not a problem. Something i would personally reccomend go to a turkish market, there is so much great things you can get for great prices if you get them down low enough, usually on once everyweek on a wednesday just ask you rep!Turkey - Other, Turkey Dont believe the bad reviews!! I cant believe all the bad reviews that the Turkin hotel in Kusadusai received!! we paid next to nothing for a 1 week half board holiday, and to be honest didnt find much to complain about!! I noticed a few people complained about things such as:
Food (your in turkey, if you want english food, holiday in england!)
The room (which is basic, but most have fantastic views. at the end of the day what more do want than somewhere to store your clothes and sleep? you dont go on holiday to spend in your room! ours was cleaned twice while we stayed, towels and toilet replaced etc)
The shower (this seemed to be a common complaint, and yes i will admit, if you decide to take a shower at peak time it may take 15 mins for hot water to come thru, but just try to avoid showering at the same time as everyone else, and anyway, who wants a hot shower in 35 degree heat!?)
The pool (clean and the poolside is a very nice little suntrap from early morning onward)
The staff (who were absolutely amazing, they will bend over backwards to do anything for you including run to the shops to buy cigarettes!! they are funny, caring and altho they speak broken english, they try bloody hard!!)
And finally location (a major bus stop right outside, a 60p, 5 min bus ride into the bustling town centre which has everything you?ll ever need, DO NOT MISS THE WEDNESDAY MARKET!! also the hotel is quite handily located for reaching the spa and water parks)
Please dont believe all the rubbishing reviews of this hotel, like i said it isnt the Ritz, but for a cheap and happy holiday look no further, i look forward to seeing more reviews of the Turkin like this.Turkey - Other, Turkey Marmaris Rating: 10/10

Turkey is a unique and unspoilt traditional place, a non euro country so very cheap and your sure to land yourself a good bargain of quality gear. If you can get to the market on a Sunday or Thursday in Marmaris you will be in your element of the cheary banter and even cheaper deals, from clothes to fresh fruit and veg. Word of advice take little clothes with you because you won't fit all your bargains in your suitcase when coming home! The sun shines from early morning to the evening so take your own suncream with you, or buy it only from chemists or supermarkets, as it may not be the original thing elsewhere.
Turkish people are warm and friendly and enjoy good hospitality and conversation with you. The bars come to life at night with lots of good food menu choices, belly dancers and break dancers to keep you entertained. I enjoy their Efes lager after a day in the sun very refreshing and I can't wait for my next holiday. Turkey - Other, Turkey idyllic turkey Rating: 10/10

we have been to turkey on holiday for 7yrs now and we wouldnt go anywhere else!!!the scenery is breathtaking and turkish people are so friendly and cant do enough for you!!try it!!!Turkey - Other, Turkey Sensational bundle of fun!! Rating: 10/10

I went on a holday to Kusadasi in turkey, it was not only chaep hot and fun great for shopping , but it was suitable for all ages as there is plenty to do . i went with a variety of people children aduts and teens aand e all had the most amazng holiday of our life . the only down side t it was we didnt go for long enough! allthough while we stayed there we visited a waterpark which was an amzing for all of us day we also went to see dolphins which was a really good experiance for all of us !! tu can either go all inclusive or not either way you will have a wonderfull time as there are so many facilites around the area for great prices. Ther peopke were great and our service was . i would definateley recomend it too anybody and ii am hoping to visit again but for longer.Turkey - Other, Turkey Could have been better! Rating: 6/10

We went to Sarigerme last July, the weather was fantastic, the beaches were lovely and the sea was warm. The hotel was rather basic but it was ok, the food was also basic. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the holiday but we did have a few bad experiences with the locals. They try to rip you off any every turn, get aggressive if you say no, are very rude and conveniently forget they can understand english when it suits them. I'm sure this is just a bad experience and not representative of the vast majority of people but I was very dissappointed with how rude and unhelpful a lot of people were. I have travelled all over the world and I have never encoutered this before. Although I enjoyed my stay as a whole, I would not rush back. Turkey - Other, Turkey Rating: 7/10

I went to Turkey with my family and the whole experience was brilliant. I enjoyed the resort we stayed in and the hotel was nice, with plenty air con to keep you cool. The beach was lovely and the sea was nice and warm so there wasn't any chance of frost bite! I would concider Turkey a top holiday attraction and would go back there in the future. |
