Turgutreis, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey Family Good Times

Splendid family resort for a peaceful holiday under the sun. Not too many people consider it their top holiday thought which made it less crowded and more family friendly. The staffs understood the concept of customer service as the restaurant staff was great with the children and the bar was good for us. Some restaurants provided our children with coloring books and crayons so that they could keep entertained. I myself am a shopaholic which often worries my husband but the markets were cheap and some of the items were small so they not cost too much of pocket and all fit in the one large empty suitcase that we brought with us simply for that purpose. The people around who were not part of any staff were wonderful also. Very friendly in the bars and up and open for conversation. For a different type of day trip the family caught a ferry and rode it to Kos. The very is safe and lovely and very popular with the little ones.

Turgutreis, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey Not So Great

Just came back from Turgutreis and write now to report that it was an ok holiday. The resort itself was small and basic. I guess that they were doing renovations while tourists are there but it would have been much better to do the resort makeover before we came so that we could have a better time. It is not fair that we are expected to put up with rubbish on the street simply because it will one day look better. At least our hotel was quite clean and quiet and the area around it was well maintained as well. It was in a good position as it was only a short walk into Turgutreis and around that around there was plenty to do if you are accustomed to be active at night. In Turgutreis itself the nightlife was nothing to clap about. But the resort did offer good food and quick attentive service. I feel that the resort will be perfect in the future when the additions arrive and they add more to do at night and in other ways of entertainment. Good place for the family especially if your children love to jump on trampolines or like to see real camels.

Turgutreis, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey Resort Beauty

Turgutreis was an absolutely beautiful resort. The beach was so wonderful that you felt that you were in the Caribbean. Nice white sand and pebbles, warm soothing waters made you want to sit and enjoy the beach for hours, which is what we did. There was a great assortment of bars and restaurants all with a great selection of food. The best thing about the resort is that every last person from the hotel staff, store merchants, waiters and hosts of the bars and restaurants would do what ever they could to enhance our happiness during our holiday. The Turgeritis Mandalinci Hotel was worth what we paid for. Very pretty and well kempt inside and picture worthy on the outside. What was surprising is how many disco clubs that were available. We found one that played American Pop music and Hip Hop. That was our favorite disco besides the one that played oldies music. The market in Turgeritis was a night sight were we got good deals on the presents that we purchased. An unusual thing there was the amount of dogs and cats around. They were friendly but there were many more around than can be expected. The resort was small but beautiful all around. I would love to return in the near future.

Turgutreis, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey Could Have Been Better

Turgutreis was not a good holiday site for the family. The beach was covered in pebbles instead of sand so it was very painful when trying to reach the water. A towel did not serve as comfort enough for your bum or those of the children so we had to rent beach chairs. Children do not enjoy sitting on chairs over playing in the sand. The beach was quite dirty and narrow as well. We saw plenty of dogs and cats roaming around freely, all of which left small presents everywhere after they ate. My husband and I did not have much time on the water because the wind blew too strong on some days. When the wind blew strong a red flag went up and visitors were restricted from the sea. Our hotel staff was very friendly but the food did not sit with any of us well. The taste was bad and left your stomach rumbling. We found better food in town with prices less expensive than in the restaurant. The harbor was a constant bustle but with enough room and selection to go around. This made it our most frequently visited place. It had places where the children could play games and buy cheap toys. We also took a ?10 each boat ride that lasted all day. My husband and I enjoyed the most and all day but the children grew restless towards the evening time.
