Torba, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey Reviews View Cheap Holidays To TorbaTorba, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey Where everyone knows your name Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Kraig Date of travel: 08/01/2005
What can I say about Torba? I like small, quiet, and calm things so I liked Torba. I like being low key and not having much to do on holiday and that is what Torba is all about. A couple of hotels all offering nice prices and superb service. Only a small handful of restaurants where you could eat in multiple times so that the people got to know you. They knew me so well in there that they gave me free drinks and special food discounts. The beach was not magical but served its purpose but the view of the bay and the blue sea was tear jerking. I spend most of the time floating on boats and just lounging around town. I knew every corner in Torba and everyone knew me. Very peaceful and friendly atmosphere. Lots of laughs and relaxation. Lots of me time in a lovely setting. Torba, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey Torba is Too Small Rating: 5/10 Submitted by: Frankyn Date of travel: 26/04/2007
Not a good experience in Torba. First of all, how can they get away with advertising an incredible beach in the brochures and when you get there the people on holiday find out that it is shingles and stones? The harbor walk was nothing special as there were a handful of shop with scarce variety and only a few restaurants that you had to eat in over and over again. Tons of construction about so you had the mind the rubbish and be able to handle not taking many pictures. The resort was entirely too small and we did not find ourselves spending too much time in it. Instead we stepped into many a taxi and rode over to Bodrum, luckily only a five minute drive away. There was were the good holiday was hiding in size, form, beauty, variety and high enjoyment feeling. If we did it all over again we would come into Torba knowing that that was the place for our cheaper hotel in which to sleep and rest and Bodrum would be where we would spend the other 70% of our time.Torba, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey The Perfect Anniversary Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: John-Michael Date of travel: 11/03/2007
Ideal location for anniversaries. I took my wife of 5 years to Torba to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary. The resort was nice and all inclusive so we did not have to worrying about traveling out too much. We had much time alone together on the wonderful beach. Water sports available everyday and very cheap to rent. We went out on Jet Ski's three times to discover who the champion was. We had a wide arrange of restaurants in the resort so we ate at a different one each day. Bodrum entertained was rubbish as was drinks were entirely too expense and nothing was available for the English to relate to. Club Voyage Torba was excellent and is a must do for anyone heading to Torba on holiday. My wife and I loved the fact that besides shopping, walking about, eating, and water sports that there was not much to do because that mean less distractions from each other. |
