Santa Monica was the city in which we stayed for the beginning half of our honeymoon. It was an excellent place to spend our first days as husband and wife. We stayed at the Hotel Santa Monica where we were treated with top service and smiled. The beach was our first venture out. The soft white sand felt fabulous under our feet and we slept and tanned to the sounds of the waves. We traveled down the Santa Monica Boulevard from Hollywood and through West Beverly Hills, Century City, Westwood and West Las Angeles. We took pictures in front of Paramount Studios, the Museum of Television and Radio, and Warner Hollywood Studios. The seafood was the freshest that I have ever tasted and the local musicians and entertainers kept the streets full of life. We were fortunate to be in Santa Monica when the fair came to town and rode rides, played games and snuggled on the Ferris Wheel. For our last day and night there we stayed at the Santa Monica Luxury hotel and were completely pampered. We felt like royalty and to top it off we took a boat ride on the big ship at night. Night life was great there. We hit the local salsa clubs y bailaba (danced) all night long. |
