Breathtaking isnt the word! its picturesque and sight-seeing is delightful..i would advise anyone to go here..Rome, Italy The Vatican City Rating: 8/10

On my visit to Rome I intended to see just 2 things and they were the Coliseum and Vatican. The Vatican was amazing and I was humbled by the grand city, it is truly a sight to behold, there were so many people around and yet it was still so quite and peaceful. I would warn you to cover up well as you won’t be allowed inside otherwise; my cousin wasn’t allowed in as he was wearing shorts. The Coliseum was the next place on my list and when I got to it I was a bit disappointed as it was just a huge round stone wall and didn’t really hold my attention although, I suspect that was because there are so many market stalls set up all round the Coliseum selling souvenirs and other little trinkets which I think takes the sparkle away from the main monument. Everyone should visit Rome, the ruins are wonderful and the collesium is a must see. We stayed at the Britannia hotel which was fantastic and the service was impeccable. The hotel is in a nice quite location but still close enough to the shops. The weather was great which was a huge bonus! |
