If you are looking for nice and quiet holiday away from the herd of tourists then Porches is the ideal for you. Porches is a calm town that has not yet been commercialised and retains its Portuguese heritage. However if at any point you do feel like joining the rest of the tourists you can do so as you are not very far from Lagoa and Carvoeiro. Make sure you visit the Porches pottery factory as the town is well known for its quality in the craft. Just enjoy the wonderful quite town of Porches! I would recommend taking a tour of a local vineyard, sun-bathing on the sandy beach and visiting the famous bone chapel. Great place to pick up some porcelain and pottery. |
