Backpacked round Italy last summer and set out see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. After all the hype it was a disappointment, the surrounding area is swamped with stalls selling tacky miniature leaning towers. Once you’ve been snapped in obligatory Pisa Pose there’s nothing much left to see.Pisa, Italy Disappointed with Pisa Rating: 6/10

I must say although visiting the Leaning Tower of Pisa was a great experience and we too some really good pictures that made it look like we were holding the tower up (photography trick) and the street that leads up to the Tower has got some really nice shops for shopping but apart form that the town is pretty dead. You can complete the whole of Pisa in a couple of hours and then head back. Pisa, Italy Pizza at Pisa Rating: 7/10

Well this was just a day trip while we were based in Florence, its just a short trin ride to Pisa. It was a nice warm day and we walked around and did some shopping on our way to the tower of Pisa. that tower needs help i dont know how it manages to stay up at that angle. Once you've seen it theres not much else to to do in Pisa. |
