Latest Morocco Holiday ReviewsView Cheap Holidays To MoroccoMorocco Go for the Beach! Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Krista Date of travel: 14/06/2006
Only go to Agadir if you want to spend the majority of your time at the beach because that is one thing that is really good there. There are a few attractions in terms of things to do but there is not much of nightlife so you will have to make do with the entertainment provided by the Hotels which is not as bad as it sounds but don’t expect a vibrant party atmosphere. A wonderfully serene city with a hint of eeriness, Fez is a medieval city that has got history by the bucket loads. You can pick up some really cool bargains at the local souks and if you like trekking then you will enjoy walking around the city and taking in all the history. I absolutely loved it!Morocco Must Do Holiday Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: Holly Date of travel: 29/12/2006
From the moment that I saw the pictures of Tangier online, I know that I wanted to take my family there. We stepped off of the plane and felt as if we were looking at the pictures again. Everything was so nice and bright. Mountains from all angles alongside the dark waters of the Mediterranean Sea. We touched on all of the places that we had time to see. First was our renown hotel Minzfa. Decorated in colonial Tangier style, with fancy terraces on which to enjoy it. The rooms were delightful and at times were hard to pull away from…but we did and we were glad that we did so. My youngest sister had a ball in the Forbes Museum. Full of toy soldiers that once belonged to Malcolm Forbes (of America’s Forbes Magazine) left behind in his Mendonb Palace. The whole family liked the uncovered space of cafes full of people speaking from all different backgrounds. It was called Petit Socco and was the best place for a break (aside from the hotel) from a day full of events. In the middle of the holiday we went to Grand Socco which is its counterpart. Right outside of Tangier made up of traditional products that were made and sold right before our eyes.
Kabash was cheery. A big complex of castles all stacked on top of a hill that overlooked the city. A Sultan built his palace there in the 17th and is remembered because it still stands tall today. We had the honor of visiting the Museum of Moroccan Art where there were all sorts of metal antiques, ceramics and real Berber carpets. One of our last stops was new town by the Place de France. We saw visions of life under the rule of France as we drank coffee and ate biscuits. Great place to holiday and take in history. A must do journey of the ages.
Morocco A nice enough hotel. Rating: 6/10 Submitted by: Betty Date of travel: 01/05/2006
Stayed in the Amadil Beach Hotel was ok for the price we paid but I’m not sure I’d go back. It’s located on the beachfront, approximately 10 minutes walk from the main strip. The ‘old’ Agadir was destroyed in an earthquake in 1960 and there’s literally nothing left. However, if you like a beach-based holiday then you won’t be disappointed plus there are plenty of water sports on offer. Djemma el Fna is definitely worth a visit, this square is the heart of Marrakech. It comes alive at night with snake-charmers, acrobats, musicians and food vendors. The square leads to the souks, where you can pick up all sorts of crafts, metal work, leather goods and spices – in order to get the best from the souks haggling is a must!Morocco For Trekkers Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Jason Date of travel: 26/09/2006
Taroudant is a nice city with a lot of scope for exploration with a wonderfully contoured land. If you are looking for an adventure you will certainly get one here with lots of things to see and markets to visit. It is certainly a tourists destination and especially for those that like to trek.Morocco White City Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: Jenny Date of travel: 02/09/2006
Going to Tangier is like being invited to a white party, most of the city is pure white which looks pretty cool. There is so much to see and do you won't have time to get bored. There are wonderful beaches with beautiful clear water and a whole host of water sports to enjoy. For shopping, make sure you go to the grand socco where you will find markets selling everything under the sun. The nightlife in Tangier is not about quantity it's about quality and there is plenty of quality in the vibrant and exciting atmosphere the few bars and clubs provide in town. Absolutely fantastic!Morocco Almost fell asleep walking Rating: 4/10 Submitted by: Simon Date of travel: 19/05/2006
Not the kind of holiday that I expected especially since I have been to a few of the other cities in Morocco. Ouarzazate didn't really appeal to me and I am sure it won't appeal to anyone who wants a vibrant and fun atmosphere on their holiday as this city seems to be very low key. The food was good and my girlfriend enjoyed walking around and exploring the city but there is little else to do apart from that. Not that i am trying to spook anyone out but i actually saw a sheeps head on the side of the roadMorocco It will blow you away Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Abul Date of travel: 07/08/2005
The wonderful Moroccan town of Essaouira will blow you away, literally as it is a great place to do some windsurfing. The beaches are great and the town is pleasant enough to walk around and do some window shopping. The food is great and even better if you love sea food, if you are in Essaouira on a self catering basis then head for the port where you can buy some fresh fish to cook up a tasty meal. Morocco Visit the ancient city Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: April Date of travel: 14/06/2006
This vastly historical city is full of wonderful attractions that will capture your imagination. The one recommendation I would make is that you get a guided tour around the city as it is very easy to get lost and language would be a barrier in trying to get back on the right path. Be sure to visit the old part of the medieval city which is absolutely fantastic. The city also has lots of great souks where you can pick up some really good souvenirs. Fez will offer you some fantastic views of the city where you can see the wonderful palaces and Mosques. Morocco Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Moss Date of travel: 04/03/2007
The town has a handful of sights - there's a mini train tour through town, the ruins of the old Kasbah, the market and the new fishing port. But a week here is definitely enough!!Morocco Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Fatima Date of travel: 27/08/2007
I spent last week in Marrakech and I was fascinated by this city! One of my favourite things the Jemma el Djemaa el fna square… with dancers, storytellers… something taken from a film. Don't forget to go to a Hammam!
