Cala Santandria.looks good, smells bad, like toilet. feels very very bad when you sit in the sand, your kids are digging and you just realize, that the sand is soaked with toiletingredients. The city of santandria /Ciutadella does not do anything against... TAKE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE TO SPEND YOUR HOLIDAY. NOT IN CALA SANTANDRIA

Son Parc, Menorca, Spain Lovely Resort!

Date of travel: 19/06/2007

It was a nice getaway, very peaceful and relaxing, especially watching the golf from my hotel balcony. I was only there for 4 days but I made the most of it. The pool was in constant use with a slide to keep you amused, and a small pool bar too. The beach is 15 minutes walk away where you will also come across all the shops and food places as well, and if you were feeling lazy then the resort train would come by every 20 minutes and go round the whole resort. Son Parc have got the greatest bunch of people, very polite and friendly and they always there to help out. The beach goes on for miles so there is always a spot for sunbathing! You can also have a go at scuba diving, but that don’t interest me, I’m more into chilling out and getting a tan!!

Binibeca, Menorca, Spain Very Quiet and Peaceful!

I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday to Binibeca, it’s a beautiful resort and some amazing culture in the centre too. Binibeca museum is a must, great features and the building its self is absolutely beautiful. Hotel Eden Binibeca where me and my husband stayed was also beautiful, the bar opened up over looking the pool side area, the pool wasn't big but it was pretty though. It was very peaceful and relaxing. You could also see the beach from the pool side it was a distance but you can’t knock the view. The restaurant was based upstairs with huge patio doors overlooking the resort and a buffet area where you could choose what you wanted to eat but sometimes it was left there to long so I would order my food fresh, and there was a wide selection too. Plenty for everyone to do such as horse riding and go carting plus you can also hire bicycles too. I would recommend this fantastic resort to everyone, though I will say, it can be very quiet at times.

S'algar, Menorca, Spain Good all Rounder!

S'algar is a nice place and the hotel was in a nice location, not so far from the beach. The Hotel Club San Luis pool area was lovely and very welcoming with a nice pool side snack bar and drinks area. Very clean hotel, very big and spacious, restaurant was great, service was good and the hotel staff were brilliant. The beach area is beautiful; the sea was rough at times, good for wind surfing though. Plenty of restaurants, cocktail bars and shops about and the evening entertainment is very wild. S’algar is a great holiday for families, groups and couples. I enjoyed it!

Cala Santandria, Menorca, Spain Family Fun

Cala Santandria is very small but a great place for families. It was quiet but had many activities for small groups of people to keep entertained. The beach was clean with not too many people. My husband, kids and I snorkeled round both bays and later tried to name the fish from pictures on the internet. Plenty of walks to take and tours to go one. Great way for everyone to reconnect.

I could not ask for a better holiday ever. When I arrived at Son Parc I was greeted like a royal or some kind, and I was taken to my hotel suite where there was a glass of champagne waiting for me. When I opened my balcony doors to let some fresh air into the room, I was shocked with the beautiful scenery. You could watch the golfers do there daily thing. It was incredible. There was also a beach close by too if you fancied a stroll and a sunbath. The food was brilliant, first class service, on the ball. Can’t fault it, the staff were superb too.

I took my wife to Menorca for her birthday, it was a surprise but I think she figured that out when we got to the airport! We stayed in the Delfines Hotel which was very cosy and also had great entertainment too. And the staff was really nice as well. The reps arranged a trip to the Island Delight Excursion, I would definitely recommend that. There was plenty going on in the resort such as Water polo, archery, tennis, football, crazy golf and the kids get to star in their own show - amazing!! We really enjoyed it; my wife said it was the best present ever. Phew!! So that says we would certainly come back. Oh and I can honestly say that the beach was relaxing, the sea was very calming and there was tones of water sports to get involved in. There were also bars and restaurants along the beach front too. There was something for everyone.

Stayed in the Prinsotel La Caleta with its fantastic beach-front location. The rooms were clean and lovely staff, couldn't do enough for us. Not a lot of English people staying mostly German and Spanish. We intend to visit again next year!

I went to S'algar with my wife and stayed in the S'algar hotel. The room was clean and airy, there was no tea or coffee making facilities, very surprising as this is a common treat in every hotel you stay in. We asked for a double bed but got twin beds, the kitchen had no fridge which was strange, so we could not by the usual appliances. We asked for a fridge but we had to pay an extra fee which was ridiculous. That was my only disappointment with the hotel. The pool side was spacious, with a bar and food area, plus there was music playing through out the day but it got annoying after a while so that's where the beach came in handy. Although I found that if you never got to the beach at a decent time you could not get a decent spot. The resort was big, with local swimming pools you could go to but we felt out of place and there were bars and restaurants, with football playing constantly which was good. We would go back but to a different hotel and we would go when its not to busy either. Overall it was a good holiday.

Punta Prima, Menorca, Spain Fridndly locals and nice beach

I came here (Punta Prima) with my 2 best friends and we found the hotel (Sur Menorca Hotel) reasonable. The staff was friendly but not always there to help if you needed them, the food was basic, buffet and burgers, same thing everyday really which got boring. Hotel entertainment was ok when it got going but it wasn't constant. The resort was small (ish) had the basic bars, restaurants, shops, doctors, safe deposit departments, hire shops, supermarkets and off licenses. But they were all cramped together making it look untidy. There was plenty to do in the day and evening but I found it very pricy. The beach was nice though, very relaxing and full of friendly locals and tourists. It wasn't a bad resort but after a while the same thing can get annoying.

The Agamenon hotel was fabulous, it was over looking the harbor which is beautiful and the pool was amazing. Freshly cleaned everyday and the hotel were cleaned twice a day ready for new arrivals and VIP's. I was on business trip with my boss so I got to enjoy 1st class, but only in a business way though. I had room service most evenings and then I would have a business lunch with my boss in the hotel restaurant. There was an indoor heated swimming pool and bar and there was the spa as well, I enjoyed an Indian massage, lovely. I never got to do much touring of the complex as I was very busy with my clients arrange deals but what I saw of the resort, I could not fault it. The weather was beautiful and the local people were very generous and polite. I have booked another holiday to the same hotel and resort but this time I will be there to enjoy myself with my family and get to explore the beach and have a laugh..

Me, my sister, my best friend and my aunt all went to Ciudadela and stayed at the Esmeralda Hotel. It was spectacular to but it bluntly. The reception was like a 5 star service in a Hilton Hotel in London but this was a 3 star and gave 5 star hotels a run for there money. The room had its own mini bar and it wasn't that expensive either, quite reasonable. There were 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, lounge and balcony with a view to the pool. You also had a TV that had BBC and SKY plus you had movie channels too. And there was late night service if you fancied a night in, the hotel bar would bring your food and drinks to your room, how cool is that. The pool was always busy but it was big enough and we met a few people who were cool, and we all got a nice tan as well. There wasn't much entertainment in the hotel but there were hundreds of pubs along the resort and the clubs were just round the block. I enjoyed the Babylon bar where you could get 2 drinks for the price of 1 and the music was spot on, plus the owner and the staff was English so you felt at home.

Although this is a small resort it is one of the most tranquil places you will ever find for a quite and relaxing holiday. The beach is where you want to spend the bulk of your time as there is plenty to do with a wide range of water activities like water-skiing, parasailing and many others. When you are tired of the beach head into town and check out the bars and restaurants for a relaxing evening out.

This is where you will find all the golfers and I can say that with so much confidence because Son Parc is the only place that has a golf course in Menorca where there is splendid greenery and a nice course to improve your handicap. All those that don't want to golf but are stuck in Son Parc can head to the other great feature of the resort which is the beach. Relax in the wonderful clean sandy beach and watch the calm and gentle waters whilst sipping a cocktail or reading a book.

Menorca is a fantastic holiday destination with a lot to offer apart from the the wonderful weather. No matter what resort you stay at are more less guaranteed 3 things on your visit and they are sun, sand and sea. We did resort hopping and stayed at a couple of resorts for a couple of days each and the verdict is that there is a resort perfect fro anyone and everyone in Menorca. There are quite resorts for those that don't like to be in a noisy environment and there are party resorts where there is a vibrant atmosphere and lots of bars and clubs to enjoy.

Date of travel: 18/06/2006

If you want beach life then Son Bou is the place to be, the beach is absolutely massive and very clean as well. I would go out on a limb and say it's probably the biggest beach in Menorca and if its not is certainly feels like it is. There are some nice and decent bars and restaurants around the resort to unwind during the evenings. Apart from the nice beach and a few bars there is not much by the way of activites and entertainment but if you are there for a beach holiday then you don't need anything else!

Santo Tomas, Menorca, Spain Splendid holiday

The Santo Tomas resorts is ideal for the older couples and families which made it perfect for me and my wife as we are retired and enjoying our twilight years. I must say that Santo Tomas was an excellent resort with a nice and quite atmosphere and it's not as loud as some of the more youthful resorts in Spain. The people are very friendly and there are two same shopping centres where you can get most of your essentials. We will definitely be going back next year.

I took my wife to Cal'n Porter for our 10th anniversary and we truly enjoyed it. We wanted some piece and quiet so we booked this getaway as a present to both of us. The hotel catered for my wife who has a bad hip, we were on the 1st floor and we had our own balcony with a view of the garden. We would walk to the beach and relax by the sea and enjoy the time we spent together. We are not big drinkers but there was a wide selection of pubs to choose from, one bar we enjoyed was called Co co's, with cheap ales and lagers and a rest area next to the window with a fantastic view of the resort, but in the evening it was a wild place to drink. The food was delicious too. Best grub I?ve had in a long while. Don't mention that to my wife though.

I took my family to Cala'n Forcat on a last minute deal and expected what I paid for. But how wrong was I? The hotel was very spacious with a gym, sauna and steam room plus the restaurant, BBQ area, games room and a bar as well. I was well gob smacked with what I got. The pool was fantastic; there was a smaller pool for the kids and the larger pool for the adults. We were there everyday in the same spot. The kids enjoyed the aqua park so that was a bonus, they wasn't moaning they was bored all the time. Then we took them to the fun park, where they enjoyed the bouncy castles, trampolines and swings. The beach was magnificent, I?ve been to a few beaches in my time but this one was like a paradise, beautiful golden sand, calm blue sea, boat rides and snorkeling and sun loungers with there own little table which was nice. In the evening we would go out as a family and go to the park and enjoy the rides then we would head back to the resort and have a drink while we watch the stand up comedians. It was fantastic and we really enjoyed out selves.

Cala'n Bosch, Menorca, Spain Priceless

Cala'n Bosch Hotel is everything you could ask for. Nice pool, friendly atmosphere, hotel bar/restaurant, in house entertainment, spacious room and very clean and welcoming. The resort was very nice, palm trees everywhere, supermarkets, off license, shops, bars and restaurants, plus motor bike shops where you could hire a bike for the day and tattoo parlors as well. The beach was a 5 minutes walk away, full of friendly locals and a few bars along the beach front, the waves were priceless, very powerful, knocked me over a few times when I tried to have a paddle. I would go back again.

I went to Cala'n Blanes with my sister and her best friend and we weren't impressed. The hotel was a dive, the pool was grotty and the beach was UN cared for, it had rubbish every where and the locals were very rude too. The night life was a little better, with live music and karaoke bars, and there was a famous dj party at one of the local clubs which was good but it was expensive to get in, but we had nothing better to do so it was a good bargain in my eyes. I would not go back to that exact same resort, so I don't rule it out altogether..

Cala Santandria, Menorca, Spain Great location.

Me and my mates stayed at the Sa Punta apartments in the resort of Cala Santandria. The hotel was basic, clean and had everything we needed. We was out most of the day and night so all we needed was a bed and shower, we got that so we was happy. As soon as you came out of the apartment you could see the beach and the smell of food on the way to the beach was mouth watering. So we would nip into the food parlor and tuck into a bacon sarnie, mmmmm nice. Anyway back to the holiday. Yeah for me it was everything I was looking for, it has a beach, bars, restaurants and clubs, oh and the usual food and clothes shops. There wasn't much I could have asked for; the pool on the other hand was small and never cleaned so we never bothered. But other than that, I would say go for it.

I like Cala Galdana, i've been coming here for the past 3 years and it's still got that holiday feeling year after year, I still get really excited too when I land and arrive at my hotel. The beach is where I do all my sunbathing and eyeing up the chicks! The sea can be rough at time but other times its really calm, but there is always a breeze which is refreshing. Every year I always buy lilo from the same old shop, and i've got to know the keeper quite well. The resort has the usual bars, restaurants, shops, cafe's and there are also a few clubs too, but there always busy so I don't bother with them. But I have heard there good though.
