Massachusetts, New England, USA Reviews View Cheap Holidays To MassachusettsMassachusetts, New England, USA Holiday of Fun and Learning Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Jimmy Date of travel: 10/07/2006
A sensational place of history and good weather. I took my family to Massachusetts because of all of the sights and marks of history. The summer time was the best time to go because we did not have to face the hassle of snow or the sweltering heat of the Florida sun. The temperature was quite nice because a constant cool breeze continued through our entire trip. In Salem we felt the eerie feeling of that town of lunatics. The children liked the people who dressed in the costumes and spoke in the accent of those times. I loved how you could ask the employees any question and they knew the answer right away. They knew what century we were in, what the food was like, how long people lived etc. From there we went to the Museum of Afro American History. It was absolutely marvelous. So much history and hard troubles. So many things that we were never taught and that the rest of the world never knew. Another great point of Massachusetts are all of the colleges. Boston, Harvard, Dartmouth and more of a wide array. All of high accreditation and all sights where I would not mind sending the children in their time. Massachusetts great all around especially Boston. Many attractions, all of the must sees and all of them ready to teach.Massachusetts, New England, USA His New Home Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: Delia Date of travel: 13/08/2007
My boyfriend chose to go to University in Boston Massachusetts. Why so far away?I don't know. Perhaps it is because that was the home of his top choice University. On my holiday there I discovered that there was a lot more to this town than the school. I had a superb time taking the Trolleys to different parts of Town. I did not realize that they had Trolleys outside of California. My favorite activity was the whale watching. They took us out for a 4 hour cruise from the Stellwagon Bank to see humpback and finback whales jump out of the water. We would not have believed that mammals that size could jump and turnover so if we had not seen it with our own eyes. Have you every heard of the legendary Paul Revere. He was the bloke who rode around the town yelling the British are coming to warn neighbors to wake up for war. We took a tour of his 19th century home. Limited time prevented me from seeing the other 70 sights that the town offers but I plan to several holidays to visit Charlie. |
