We had never been to Turkey before, but we are deffinately going again. What made our holiday, was the people. They were fantastic. I know that they wanted our money in the way of tips, but they bent over backwards to earn the tips. We stayed at the Hotel Ares, which was fantastic when the owner was away, but had a bad feeling when she was there, she is rude and unhelpful and wont let you take any food or drink to your room if you havent bought it from her - not even bottled water. There is loads to do in Marmaris, and most of the tours are really cheap and include your meals and drinks in the price. A must for everybody is the Jeep Safari, bit be prepared to get wet and dirty, and take the biggest water gun you can find and as much water as you can carry. We are deffinately going back, but will probably stay in a different hotel.

Been to Marmaris loads of times and will be back loads of more times. You should go too. Caters for all with the beach, bars, night stuff and day trips. Very pretty. Quite relaxed. So much to do that there is not enough time in the day. Tons of nice people from there and all over. Shopping is nice but a whole days event. Awesome Jeep Safari where you get wet and see animals. If you can bring a water pistol with you to have a water fight. Very fun and different. Also great cruise. 3 hours long but by the end you don’t want to get off. Nice hotels with ready eats and friendly staff. Go… you will like it.

Pleasant resort with plenty of quality restaurants and bars. All of the staffs that we had the honor to encounter were fab. We had a great time dancing in the discos and meeting people from all walks of life. Summer rain is the best restaurant in the entire place. We went back 5 times in our 2 week stay because the food was to die for. Karaoke time all night long at Santana with specials prizes for those who are the most fun and most talented. The shops are packed with fun items and we brought back many of them along with bargaining memories by the bag full. At the bazaar there was something for the whole team be it jewelry, leather, clothes, or food for Charlie. The beautiful black sand was very impressive as I have never see it in person before. The entertainment was the best part because of the belly dancers, breakdancers, and snakes. Way cool!!!!!!!

Marmaris, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey Marmaris-For Young People

We did not enjoy our time at the beach in Marmaris. It was quite dirty and there was severe overcrowding. The men who sold fruit on the beach were pushy and annoying. We did however feel that the pubs and restaurants were fantastic and the staff was simply brilliant with all of their customers. The resort itself was full of life and ideal for young people and couples. Everything is geared for groups that are of age so children would not too much have a good holiday. There was so much to do in ways of clubs and drinking that we did not know where to begin. We stayed for a week and still felt uncomfortable about the things that we had left to do. The island of Rhodes was only 45 minutes away by catamaran and we stayed for an entire day. There is where we had a great beach experience and with it available any day as much as you would like. Our favorite was the big theatre where the gladiators used to battle.
