They have a serious problem with the fruit sellers on the Cala D'Or beaches. They are too loud and noisy, and make tourists angry. We will never come to Cala D'Or again because of the bad experience with the screaming fruit sellers. They destroy the peace and quiet and should be not allowed to come to the beach anymore!Alcudia, Majorca, Spain not catered for Rating: 3/10 Submitted by: diane Date of travel: 17/08/2005

The two of us booked Santa Ponsa for our 25th anniversary. We had an excellent holiday, sunshine all the way. There is plenty to do all over the Island and Magaluf hosts a show called PIRATES, well worth going to one night. There are a great varieties of bars and restaurants in Santa Ponsa but some are unjustifiably expensive. One jumps to mind The Dubliner Bar and pizzeria, it was dreadful and way too expensive for food and drink. We found the best value around the beach restaurants and bars.Santa Ponsa, Majorca, Spain Good resort but expensive Rating: 6/10 Submitted by: Heather Date of travel: 10/08/2009
Have been to Santa Ponsa several times now and each year its getting more and more expensive without any of the businesses reinvesting in modern culture and in turn the resort is getting less and less tourists with last year being so so quiet. Places on the main strip vary so much in price for the same drinks and food that its hard to comprehend why. For example The Dubliner bar which has been there for years sees fit to serve awful food and poor service but charges way more than anyone else? Other bars like Simplys and Hotshots offer cheap drinks at the steps but when you actually ask for them they are cheap sickly Spanish versions of real alcoholic beverages. Aside from this the resort has nearly a guaranteed heat factor, friendly atmosphere in most places and something for everyone. Someone just needs to get together and decide on placating tourists like us and charge reasonable prices and it could all become a busy resort again.Sa Coma, Majorca, Spain bouganvilla LOVELY Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: GAYLE Date of travel: 10/06/2004
We stayed in the BOUGANVILLA, very good hotel, appartments clean, large pool, good for kids.
Takes 15 mins to walk into sa coma, or walk on to the next resort for better restaurants.
Hire a car and as locals where the best beaches are, they are quieter. cleaner and more secluded.
Lovely holiday

Chill out in the heat of Can Picafort.
Beaches are clean. The sea is crystal. Add the atmosphere and this makes the place out of this world! The restaurants are very good and the prices most acceptable. To sit outside of a bar or restaurant on the quiet pedestrianised promenade towards Son Baulo watching the sun go down makes Can Picafort the perfect place for getting away from it all.
We stay each year at the Picafort Park Hotel and love the stroll into the main town centre , taking in the odd watering hole, before strolling back and enjoying superb evening entertainment layed on in the hotel lounge or out on the pool side terrace. Just down the road there is a smashing bar called Scandals and the refreshing drinks served by a great bunch of staff make you so welcome.
Can Picafort is so relaxing you just want your holiday never to end. Try it!!Santa Ponsa, Majorca, Spain Santa ponsa Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Stephen Date of travel: 04/06/2009

Cala D?or is a purpose built resort that really has a bit everything for everyone. True it can be a bit brash & lively but if you are staying away from the centre it?s also quite and relaxing. Built around three small sandy coves the beach space is limited and at peak times you will need to be out early to get a spot / sun bed. The main beach Cala Gran has bars & restaurants shops & toilets and is fringed by pine trees. The sea is quite calm, the beach shelves away gently and has life guards and is quite for safe children being fairly shallow. Boat trips leave here daily to visit the nearby resorts like a sea taxi. There is also a fresh fruit seller who visits the beach singing a song to advertise his wares.
There is plenty bars, takeaways and restaurants around with a wide range of cuisine. Because of competition in the resort prices are more in line with mainland Spain and its quite reasonable eating & drinking out. However, that said the Marina area seemed a little more upmarket with a price to match as well! Generally those bars with live performers are a little more expensive. There?s a typically mix of tribute acts and general middle of the road performers along with the odd karaoke bar.
Generally everyone seems friendly out and about. I felt very safe even late at night unlike some mainland Spanish resorts I?ve holidayed in! There are plenty of supermarkets around although prices seem fairly high compared to other places I?ve been. There is a tourist train that goes round the resort but if you are near the resort centre everything is in easy walking distance. The resort is on a slope however it?s not to steep to walk around easily.
I think Cala D?or is better suited to families with younger children and may be older couples however it does as I said before have a bit something for everyone. We stayed a week and eat out every night and visited different bars and generally had a good time. So if you have older children don?t be put of at all. Would we go back again well, we have already booked!

I have been visiting Cala Millor and Cala Bona for many years. I highly recommend the Liverpool Bar in Cala Millor. It is a family bar run by Henri and Kay. Excellent food and very friendly service and the best place to go to watch sport, especially football. !*****
I also really enjoyed the Sanddancers in Cala Bona, this is a fun bar owned by nutty Geordies, absolutely fantastic!!! *****

So it's not stylish and ikea furnished, it's not full of posers and noisy kids....but it's great.
We holidayed at the Cala Bona twice in 2007 and are going back in June this year.
Why...because it caters for english middle aged and older people without accompanying children. It's in an ideal location, has an excellent resteraunt and the best entertainment in Mallorca. Cala Bona is a lovely resort for a quiet family holiday. We stayed at the Bon Aire just out side the town and it was a fantastic aparthotel. The nightlife was ideal for the family and if you wanted to you could walk inta a Cala d'or for something more lively. I would recomend this resort to any family and I am planning to go back there this year.Palma Nova, Majorca, Spain Palma Nova is Great! Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Linda Date of travel: 27/06/2007
I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Palma Nova, our hotel was gorgeous! It was the Mimosa Park hotel with brilliant facilities like Tennis Courts, indoor swimming pool, self service food stand, restaurant, cocktail bar, pool bar and a gym. Oh yeah and an outside pool with palm trees every where. The weather was fabulous, not one cloud while we were there, and there was a lovely breeze coming from the shore to keep you cool. The beach was beautiful, golden sand and green sea, very shallow too, you could see the corals. There were bottom glass boat rides round the island, and the 18-30 day trips, I’m normally sea sick but it was free drinks until it all run out, a small fee though for the trip then I worried about the consequences afterwards! Lively bars in the evening, very crowded as well though, some bars were to crowded and got very uncontrollable so we stuck to the less livelier bars, same fun just not as busy! Be wary of some of the clubs though, they can charge you a silly price just to enter the place, then the drinks on top as well. I spent 135 euros in one night, we only went to the 1 night club but that cost us 40 euros each which is like £25 and the drinks were like 14 euros, £7.. Ridiculous! Other than that, everything else was spot on. .Magaluf, Majorca, Spain Magaluf Pure Quality! Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: Anth 23 Date of travel: 27/04/2007

Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Allen Date of travel: 26/07/2007
Sa Coma lit up my week, huge gates led you into the resort and the hotel was very stunning with palm trees on either side of the revolving doors. The whole layout was fantastic. The beach was a 5 minute walk and was up to standard with everything else. A few rocky patches but that was at the far end of the beach so it never interfered with our sunbathing. And the Scuba Diving was brilliant. There isn’t much nightlife though, you do get the odd bars and disco bars but it’s not your typical party holiday where everything comes to life at night and the bars stay open till 4am in the morning. So this would properly disappoint the younger ones. But the resort and service is great. Reasonable prices too compared to some resorts I’ve stayed in.Arenal, Majorca, Spain Live it up in Arenal Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Brian Date of travel: 11/08/2006
A wonderful holiday resort with plenty of things going on, a bit more quiet than I expected but I think it made the experience better as the place as not overcrowded. We stayed at the Torre Arenal Hotel which was a three star hotel but the service and facilities were absolutely top notch. They even had a pool on the roof of the hotel which was brilliant and gave us a great view of the whole surrounding area.Majorca - Other, Majorca, Spain Very Over Rated! Majorca is very over rated. It's not ever going to compare to Ibiza or Marbella but it does have some great places to party though. I normally go to Ibiza but I was told to try Majorca as they know how to throw a party but it does not compare one tiny bit. Nice resort though, more for the younger generation, families would feel left out as it's full of young kids drinking and shouting.Magaluf, Majorca, Spain Nightlife Was a Top Laugh! I stayed at the Apartamentos Balear Beach complex and it was situated next to the beach, from the balcony you could see the mountains and ocean view which was stunning. Everything was close by so you felt safe. The room wasn't big but it wasn't too small either, it was up to scratch and very bright and airy. There were some top bars such as the Eastenders Bar and the Prince William Pub, it was a proper laugh, and the atmosphere was brilliant. Magaluf is still the best place to party and have fun.Majorca, Spain One of the best. Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Chloe Date of travel: 11/08/2007
Majorca is one of the best holiday destinations in Spain, well that's my opinion. There are gorgeous sandy beaches and things to do as well like, boat rides, wind surfing and kayak and there was a bungee jump facilities as well along the beach, I would never do that in a million years, very scary. You have a selection of bars and restaurants which have great entertainment through out the day and night, there is a selection of shops too where you can buy food, drink and gifts. I just love Majorca coz it attracts plenty of tourist and it gives it that holiday feel.Puerto Pollensa, Majorca, Spain Family Time Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Angellica Date of travel: 17/06/2005
Nice little resort for the family. We went two years and all aspects were superb. The beach was large and the water was warm. Our family took jogs together and ate most meals together as well (which is very rare for us). There was a mapped out hike through the mountains that was not too long or hard on the bodies. I tripped along one of the paths and my brother and dad had a laugh about it every chance that they got. Our hotel was very pretty and had an attentive staff. The food delightful and a wonderful treat after all of our busy or relaxing days. My mums favorite part of the holiday was the pine walk at dusk. The colors and the climate change at that time of night made her very happy and fall even more in love than she was before.Puerto Pollensa, Majorca, Spain Our Honeymoon Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Kelly Date of travel: 31/01/2007
The prettiest resort on the north coast. I told husband (new one at the time) to surprise me by picking the perfect honeymoon spot. I know that the pressure must have been heavy on the poor guy but he did a great job. The resort was pretty, clean, and looked like the perfect picture out of a honeymoon guide. There were plenty of restaurants and bars and some were even on the water. We ate our first lunch as husband and wife on a boat floating in the water. The beach was lovely and there were often people playing games on the sand. The area was not touristy at all so the hotel staff killed themselves to make sure we were having a great time and we did not hear annoying complaints from fellow guests. To add some spice from our food, relaxation, and romantic fun a member of the staff recommended that we should hire a car to go up to Formentor. That was wonderful advice and we enjoyed every part of a relaxing drive and fun time in Formentor.
In the resort it was unique but appreciated to see white sand surrounded by big mountains. We laid on the sand since the sun loungers were expensive but the sand was so very soft that we did not mind. The shopping was nice and cheap so I found many things to bring back to our families. The town was beautiful and quaint and the people were just as nice there as on the resort. Lots of family owned small businesses who offered large quantities of food for small pay. I thanked my husband for weeks for the best honeymoon imaginable.

This was my first holiday with out my family, I went with my mate Claire and we had a great time. Wen we arrived in the resort, at 4am in the morning! We went straight to one of the bars that were still open, Crazy Jo’s I think! It was very warm and stuffy but as the bar man knew we were new arrivals he gave us free drinks until they closed at 6am then we went to our hotel room and crashed out. wen we finally woke up we go out bikini's on and went out for a tour of the resort; to see where the beach was and shops etc. We went to the tour op and found out wot was happening through the week and there was quite a lot going on but some things very expensive though. We went to the aqua land though which was good. The beach is a normal sort of beach really, rocky patches in some parts but it wasn't too bad. We played Frisbee in the sea and we also went on a glass bottom boat ride, boring! The sea wasn't clear enough to see anything. You had to pay for a sun bed and umbrella, cheek! So we just sat on a beach towel... Bar one was a really top laugh in the evening, drinking games, cool music and other mad things going on, we got drunk most nights coz all the shots were free. We went to Majorca on our holiday abroad this year and we stayed at the resort of Arenal which I can tell you right now Areanl is not for families and it’s especially not for children. Arenal is for the younger crowd that loves to party hard into the early hours of the morning which is exactly what we did. We did find that there were a lot of Germans there, seems to be very popular with them. Cala San Vicente, Majorca, Spain Nice and relaxing holiday. Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Morgan Date of travel: 15/08/2006
Cala San Vicente is not your typical holiday destination, it wasn't as lively as I thought, and it was peaceful and relaxing compared to some of Spain’s destinations. Me and my fella stayed at the Don Pedro Hotel and it was lovely. The sea view from the bedroom balcony was fantastic, the sea was also very shallow as well, and you could see the corals and rocks at the bottom, it was beautiful. There were a few bars but they weren’t banging with loud music, so you could have a proper conversation. The food was good, usual stuff like, chicken, fish, burgers, jack pots etc and not very pricy either like some resorts. Me and my boyfriend was just happy to chill and relax while soaking up the sun and enjoy great views and scenery. We would go back and we also recommend this resort too.Majorca - Other, Majorca, Spain Beautiful place. Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Spencer Date of travel: 10/05/2007
When I visited Porto Petro in Majorca I was over the moon as I heard it wasn't a nice area to visit but It was totally untrue. The hotel was a in a nice quiet location, but lively enough for a laugh, the beach was a 5 minute walk, and it was very well kept and cleaned every evening, and there was bars and restaurants to suit all kinds of people. The locals were very nice, the hotel staff was genuine and pleasant and the resort was just a happy place to relax and enjoy your self. Palma was just up the coast so if you fancied a night away from Porto Petro then you weren’t far away. I really enjoyed myself, the harbor was nice and the old villages in the centre were terrific, it wasn't a bad place at all.Camp De Mar, Majorca, Spain The Perfect Setting Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: Travis Date of travel: 01/04/2007
I have been close to my best friend since our University days but for two years we lost touch. During that time I missed her horribly. After much research for the perfect holiday place that would give a quiet romantic place to tell her how I feel, I chose Camp de Mar. Located on the south-west coast of Mallorca, it was away from the distractions of work and friends. It was beautiful, clean and there were not many people there. It made me feel good to see more locals than tourists because the beaches were more open and the restaurants would cater to you as if you were family. We stayed in the 4 star The Playa that had the best service and work ethic imaginable. We went around the resort to shop and meet people in the villas. On the beach in the moonlight I arranged a dinner on the sand with the resort restaurant. The waiters and the owners go above and beyond for customers. They brought out a table closer to the water and allowed us to order and eat their food on the beach. It was very magical. On our fourth night there I told her that I could not keep up the charade any longer. I explained that there was no contest and that I brought her there to tell her that I loved her. The rest of the days on the resort we spent as a couple. Walking hand in hand through the Spa supermarket and enjoying each others company in the quaint friendly bars. We went touring and exploring and snorkeling. Our holiday was not full of big attractions or museums. Instead it was full of romance with the help of those on the resort. Puerto Pollensa, Majorca, Spain The Personification of Peace Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Taqueria Date of travel: 07/04/2007
Puerto Pollensa has to be one of the prettiest resorts on the north coast. It gently curves around the bay and stands in front of the Sierra Traumontana Mountains. Puerto Pollensa is the home of server villages and sights. It does not do as much as its neighbors to attract the average tourist bunch put is a great place to carry your family and a close group of old friends. The beaches are natural without the overload of newly brought over sand for an artificial experience. The beach has the sand AND pebbles and is not overrun by night clubs or annoyingly loud drunk foreigners. Puerto Pollensa always had this air of tranquility and relaxation. There were no fancy shows to look at but was simply a place where you can relax completely. Explore a little during the day, go to sleep early and wake up late. It was one of the only times in my life since childhood where I did not have a schedule to follow. We made plans same day and did not have the burden of major responsibility. I hired a car to take a trip around the island and was taken away by the terrain and scenery. The only thing that was unsettling was that we were told to watch for jelly fish but never saw any. This trip was the personification of peace.Porto Cristo, Majorca, Spain Worth Every Pence Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Chauntelle Date of travel: 21/03/2006
I found everything that I could possibly need at Porto Cristo. The beach was lovely and clean and the views from the top of the cliff made my family gasp. From our hotel we were only a train ride away from a wide arrange of shops and restaurants. There were about 5 supermarkets that had just everything from perfume to candy. There were plenty pharmacies and souvenir shops available that hosted good prices. Porto Cristo was quite hilly and had slippery footpaths so I had to watch my step every step of the way. It was small and quiet with bars full of interesting people who were very excited to meet and speak with you. At night I would wander around the beach and stop in at a bar to have a drink and long conversations. There were plenty of places at which to fish because it is known as a fishing harbor. It was a very low key holiday but well worth what we spent there. Happy Holiday Hunthing!Illetas, Majorca, Spain Good All Of The Way Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Jonathan Date of travel: 09/02/2007

It was a nice break from the everyday business and family worlds.C'an Picafort, Majorca, Spain The Holiday Hot Spot Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Shaianne Date of travel: 01/08/2007
There are not enough words in the English language to describe what an incredible time I had in C'an Picafort. There is some much to do and eat there that you never want to leave. C'an Picafort is located in North Mallorca not too far from Palma. The beach is clear and clean and is what you see anytime you catch an advertisement for the perfect beach vacation. There are umbrellas made from the leaves of trees and all of the lounge chairs along the beach are free to sit in. Our first dinner experience was Caf? Paris presided over by Wolfgang. It was a tad bit expensive but the superb food, live music and dancing made the cost well worth it. To travel and try new things we went to Rancho Grande where we went real horseback riding during the day. At night on the ranch we learned how to line dance, had dance parties and drank the best sangria (not too sweet or bitter just right). For dinner on the ranch there was a Barbeque, I can still taste the food. August was the best time to go because of all of the fiestas. We went to Ball de Bot (with traditional folk music and dance) and the outdoor 'supper.? The outdoor supper was hosted by DJ Monty who kept us all laughing and happy. We will definitely go back next summer. Can Pastilla, Majorca, Spain Quiet and peacefull all around Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: Emily Date of travel: 05/08/2006
O.K. fine, it is untraditional but I took it upon myself to propose to my boyfriend and he said yes. My boyfriend's family is from Majorca so we went on holiday. He has been asking me for the passed 5 years to be his wife and I refused each time because I was not sure that we were meant to be together. One night he did something magical that made me believe that he was the one for me, my one and only so it was my turn to get down on one knee. I needed the blessing of his family and a great venue to show him that I was serious and ready for marriage, so I choose Can Pastilla. I could not wait for too long to pop the question so that minute we put our things down in the hotel I asked for his hand in marriage. Through his tears and mine he said yes and the was the beginning to an amazing holiday.
His family meet up is the quiet town of Can Pastilla to share in the celebration. I got to know and become better acquainted with them on the sandy beaches that reach all along the shoreline. Our favorite beach was the one that was sheltered but the town's harbor where we jumped on the trampolines. My new little sister in law joined me in mounting the climbing frames. The restaurants served superb foods including traditional fish dishes. We were able to rent a yacht for cheap and cruise in the water. Everything about Can Pastilla was quiet and romantic and charming. Even the roads and villas were serene. It was quite relaxing and served as the perfect platform on which to get to know my new family and fianc? better.
Calas de Mallorca, Majorca, Spain Not what we saw in photos Rating: 6/10 Submitted by: Wendy Date of travel: 19/10/2005
Calas de Mallorca was very disappointing. My husband and I expected a new big attractive looking resort of major interest as they described on their website. Instead, when we got there all we found was a few scattered of hotels and apartments over a big area. It looked plain and empty and was difficult to get around thanks to its primitive road system. There are little amenities for tourists and by any definition of the word, should not be able to be called a tourist destination. There were Domingos and Cala Murada which are two pretty beaches that brightened up our holiday. There was also the Jumaica Tropical Park just to the south is also made our trip bearable because of its beauty and interesting history. In 1973 a Mallorcan family bought it as arid land and discovered that it contained a priceless water supply which they later were able to us to change it into a tropical garden. If I were you I would wait until they are complete in updating everything in the resort and it is more tourist friendly. Cala Vinas, Majorca, Spain It's O.K. Our time was good in Cala Vina but I think that it would be our only visit there. The food was good and the hotel was beautiful but there was not that much to do. We went to the beach, ate at the bars, and went to the shopping places to get gifts for the family. The highlight of the trip was hanging out with the locals and clubbing at night. The people were crazy nice and it was just a nice place overall. This would be a cool place to bring your girlfriend to relax but for four brothers trying to have a good time mixed in with some culture, not a great spot.Cala San Vicente, Majorca, Spain Cala San Vicente Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Felix Date of travel: 15/06/2007

Portals Nous is a very chic resort and a celebrity hot-spot. The Majorcan resort is a great for those after a luxurious break in the sun. The main high street is disappointing but its wonderful marina more than makes up for it. Portals Nous offers a good variety of restaurants and bars but eating out can be expensive, so look around.Santa Ponsa, Majorca, Spain Santa Ponsa Scene Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Horacio Date of travel: 28/09/2007
I love Santa Ponsa; I?ve been going there for many years now. It's a great resort which really comes alive in the evening and compared to the neighbouring Magaluf and Palma Nova it's aimed at all ages!Sa Coma, Majorca, Spain Good beach, quiet nightlife Rating: 6/10 Submitted by: Antonio Date of travel: 17/05/2007
It's a very family orientated resort with lots of facilities for the kids and adults. The beach is sandy and the water shallow, it offers all the usual selection of water sports including glass bottom boat trips. Sa Coma centre is small there are a few bars and restaurants but it's not suited for those seeking lots of nightlife. Puerto Soller, Majorca, Spain Peace and quiet by the sea! Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Brenda Date of travel: 04/09/2007
I recently returned from a holiday in Puerto Soller where I had a wonderful time. This pretty little resort isn't as commercialised as some in Spain and it was the perfect destination to unwind. The surrounding area is very beautiful and the best way to explore it is on foot, there are a great number of walking trails for all abilities. Cala Millor, Majorca, Spain Successful Family Holiday Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Victoria Date of travel: 11/06/2007
Who's up for clear water, glass bottom boats, and all sorts of wildlife animals? If you are you should take a holiday to Cala Millor. Cala Millor was one of our family's first peaceful and positive holidays. Our typical holidays are loud theme park adventures or clich? island beach getaways and always end up with some bad hotel experience and with all family members sitting in far away seats on the plane. But this time holiday was different. Our parents chose a spot that was more quiet and tranquil so that we could bond versus run and argue. They took us to a safari park that we quite different from the traditional London zoo because we rode on jeeps and the area for the animals was much bigger. We saw giraffes, zebra, elephants and monkeys. Some we were able to get close up but the tigers we stay far away. They are more tame being in the area but the guide told us that they were still unpredictable. As a true family we walked up the medieval watchtower on Punta de n?Amer. It us 45 long minutes to reach the top but we had a big feast of any amount of chips and burgers, nachos, and other snacks that we wanted. The view of the sea and the resort as well of the food was well worth it. We also had a few laughs along the way, especially when Tim and Dad tripped on the way up. Maggie and I loved the apartments. I thought that apartments were just to let but you can holiday in them too. They were called the Christina apartments and the food was really good and the beds were quite comfortable. We wanted to go into the Q club because you can hear the music play outside and everyone says it was fun but we were too young to go. When I am in University I will go into that club. I liked the boats with the missing bottoms the best.Arenal, Majorca, Spain Sun, Sea and Cocktails! Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Laura Date of travel: 23/06/2007
Me and my mates went to Arenal for a week, although it was much quieter than we expected we still had fun. The beach is massive so you got planty of space to sunbathe and the sea was a baby blue colour, my fave colour. We got on the mimi train on wheels that went round the resort and headed into Palma too where we shopped. We went to Aqualand and I went on the largest slide in there and wasn't very well afterwards, steep drop which turned my stomach big time. But once we got back to our apartment and had a sleep I was fine afterwards. Don't go there if you don't like heights. In the evening we did the usual thing, partied and got drunk and had a kebab on the way back home. Proper Brit style.Cala San Vicente, Majorca, Spain very quite Rating: 6/10 Submitted by: Phil Date of travel: 12/02/2005
Cala San Vicente beach is quite holiday destination that has got a nice layout and a well maintained beach. There is also a nice little area for a small hike where you can do a little exploring on the island. There is very little in Cala San Vicente in terms of activities apart from a few water sports there is not much else do other than lay down your beach towel and work on your tan whilst enjoying a good book. Alcudia, Majorca, Spain Wkd holiday to Alcudia. Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: Carrie Date of travel: 06/07/2005
My favotite part of my holiday was Alcudia's waterpark, its was brilliant. I was there from open till close, I enjoed the surfing area, even though I was no good but it was fun though. The Karting Majic go kart track was another favorite as well, I enjoy all kids things. Me and my mum stayed in the Astoria Playa hotel and the pool was very nice and very open too. Every evening me and my mum had Italian food from the Pizzeria Novamarina and we also went to the Miramar restaurant but that was more expensive but a treat. Then we headed to the bars and drank the night away. It was top.I'm going back for sure.Cala D'Or, Majorca, Spain Get the Package Rating: 6/10 Submitted by: Boonie Date of travel: 16/02/2007
It is best to do a packaged holiday for the Cala d?Or resort because buying everything separately proves too expensive and unsatisfying. In our package we got hotel stay, transportation, tours and discounts on food and attractions. I do advise that if you are on a packaged deal hid your wristband until after you eat so that you are serviced by the waiter straightaway. If they catch sight of the band they might wait until others serve you for fear that they will not receive a tip and please do tip well so that we can eliminate that stigma. A disappointing part of the resort is that there are not that many attractions. Without our package information we would not have known what to do. We ended up spending time on the beach (of course), go karting and traveling around the island. Our hotel was beautiful aesthetically but the service was not that great. For fun we went to the Chic Palace Disco were we met with foreigners and locals. The music was great but the drinks were quite pricy.Cala Bona, Majorca, Spain Rating: 6/10 Submitted by: Tony Date of travel: 14/10/2002
Cala Bona is a quiet place but like any other resort, you do get your livelier spots. The hotel its self was ok, it was a 3 star but was also very basic, there was no A/C in the room which was horrible especially at night when your trying to get to sleep. The beach was lovely, white sand, green sea and with some good activities so you don't get bored of the sunbathing. I would go back to Cala Bona but I would have to go All in...Palma Nova, Majorca, Spain Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Zoe Date of travel: 24/06/1997
Great girls holiday and top pubs n clubs. My stay at Palma Nova was a big party, drink all day and clubbing all night! What I did see of the resort was cool, plenty of bars, restaurants and shops and the beach was nice as well. I ended up going on a glass bottom boat trip and all I did was drink and party... By the end of the holiday I needed another holiday to get over this one.Magaluf, Majorca, Spain Rating: 5/10 Submitted by: Jenny Date of travel: 20/08/2002
Even though I class myself in the 18-30 generation I was very taken back on how party mad us brits are! I stayed in a hotel full of party animals and there was no way of an early night or any privacy... In the day time the pool was rammed, there was no chance to relax as there were to many nutters and drunks, so the only place to chill and sunbathe was the beach. I'm either old before my time or Magaluf is just to wild for my liking?Majorca, Spain Rating: 6/10 Submitted by: Babs Date of travel: 23/04/2006
Agadir has a huge sandy beach but be prepared for constant hassle from local traders!! Magaluf, Majorca, Spain Too Many Tourists Rating: 3/10 Submitted by: Ahmed Date of travel: 25/07/2007
If you want white sandy beaches with great weather and lots of british people then Magaluf is for you. I was very disappointed as there were too many tourists especially british ones i may as well have just went to Brighton beach for the weekend. Next time i will try and find the tourist to locals ratio before i go anywhere like that.Majorca, Spain Rating: 6/10 Submitted by: Diane Date of travel: 05/07/2007
