Very small seaside resort in the Turkey Borum Peninsula. The atmosphere was entirely Turkish with Turkish music, Turkish food, the selling of Turkish style dress, and Turkish crafts display in window fronts. There were a selection of beaches and coves to choose from. When one area became too crowded you walked to another and had room to stretch out and rest. There was the smell of pine in the air due to the vast amount of pine tress and the olive groves were fun too walk through and look over. The water was not blue but turquoise, clear enough to look down and see swimming fish. Further out than the hip deep water I brought goggles to merely look at what was below me. To my surprise and entire school of fish swam around me and I felt not one make contact with my skin. I windsurfed. I never thought that I would but the price was right and the instructor basically held my hand the entire way. By my forth day out there I was practically a professional. Kadicalesi also has a lot of history to visit. The ancient ruins of Heriopolis taught us many things and the boat trips took us out on long and fun journeys. |
