Relaxing holiday ever. White sand, blue sea great weather + friendly people. Safest place I've travelled an i'm 35yo single female. Cheap to get flight only + get hotel when u get there. Calangute best place to stay. Spent 3 weeks there + only spent £150 - bottle of coke 15p chicken curry £1.20 make sure you say no bones! Barter for goods see Sonni +his amethyst rocks, have a massage on the beach fantastic. Best advice go to the beach on 3rd day-when ure white new arrivals, price goes up on everything -they have to make a living but u'll have good fun with the locals plenty of banter. Wages out there-hotel trainee manager £30 a month! 3 bed bungalow to buy£6000 - so CHEAP.

Arpora is not as commercialised as some parts of Goa - it's a great resort to relax and unwind. It’s not on the beach but there's lots of local activity and Baga beach is only 15 minutes walk away. Mojo’s bar is a great place to pick up a cold beer and watch the sun go down, and Saturday's Nite Bazaar is fantastic. I intend to go back one day...India-Goa WOW! Miramar Beach is a stunner, you can't get better to say the least. The tropical water is truly gorgeous and the white sand is really SANDY!! Do you know when something just takes your breath away and your left speechless? Well Miramar Beach did just that. It is a very nice and relaxing place to go. And the views and scenery is everything. It’s even better when you stay in a beach located hotel that falls onto the beach as soon as you walk out side. Heaven! Now Miramar Beach in India-Goa is something to brag about.India-Goa Paradise on Earth Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Anthony Date of travel: 09/10/2007
Paradise on Earth, Baga is the one true place that deserves that label because it really is paradise with its spotless beach and pristine waters. You will feel detached formt he rest of the world in Baga, it is a completely different world where you can forget about all your worries and enjoy a nice quite drink in a local bar or lay on the beach and lose yourself in a good book. If however you do miss the vibrant nightlife don’t worry, as Baga has got some really happening bars that will re-attach you with civilisation.India-Goa Varca is the place to be. Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: Keenan Date of travel: 23/01/2007
We decided to pick Varca as our destination in Goa and although there are plenty to choose from we are glad that we chose to stay in Varca as it was everything we wanted and more! We particularly enjoyed exploring the resort by biking around which was great fun and a very good form of exercise. You have to go Dolphin watching, if you are lucky you will get to see lots of them flipping in and out of the water. The food on the resort was absolutely delicious and they have got a great selection of sea food. We will definitely going back there at some point.India-Goa Breathtaking views Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Dev Date of travel: 23/10/2006
Did you know that Miramar means viewing the sea in Portuguese? Well you do now and it’s a perfectly named, as you will have a wonderful view of the pristine sea from Miramar beach. However make sure all you do is admire the sea and don’t try and go swimming in it as it is not a safe beach for swimming due to the strong undercurrents. This beach resort is only for those content with walking along the beach and enjoying a nice relaxing soak in the sun as there are not many other activities around. I went to India as part of a round the world tour and spent 3 weeks in Goa. Best Christmas EVER! Christmas day we got up early and did some yoga on the beach and had a swim before going for fresh fruit salad with yoghurt and honey breakfast. Then did presents! I got a Sari and a wooden elephant! Spent whole day eating and chatting to randoms and enjoying the sunshine. Can't wait to go back next year!India-Goa Monsoon Wedding! Rating: 6/10 Submitted by: Heather Date of travel: 05/09/2006
I now understand the true meaning of India-Goa Baga Heaven! Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Susannah Date of travel: 13/11/2006
Baga beach is BEAUTIFUL! I wish I could express in words how gorgeous it is. Everyone there is so chilled out! Holidays are meant to be like this. I'm saving to get back to Goa ASAP! Anjuna market at night is awesome! there was live music and loads of stuff to buy. When you're bargaining take into account that although everything is really cheap if you buy too much you'll have to post it home which can cost a bit... but less than excess baggage at the airport! I paid around 30 pounds to post 30kg back to the UK (yes I went a bit nuts but it was christmas presents!) The food in goa was fantastic! seafood and vegetarian food is the best. And dont worry.... just because you get fresh baby shark for lunch everyday doesn't mean there are sharks in the water. This crossed my mind but a fisherman told me they go out miles and miles to catch them! It's safe to swim!India-Goa Gorgeous Goa Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Bruce Date of travel: 01/10/2006
I spent 3 months in India last year and Goa was definitely one of the highlights. Goa is nothing like the rest of India. If you want to experience the real India then dont go to Goa. If however you want a taste of India with a lot of western culture thrown in and a little bit of luxurious bliss at rock bottom prices then head straight to Goa. Cavelossim is a cool hang out. Some nice restaurants. Its worth the trip down to Palolem but palolem can get crowded and there are lots of teenage gap students running around! Cavelossim is slightly more grown up. All the beaches in Goa are stunning. It's also worth straying inland. The national parks have some excellent wildlife including elephants and if you're lucky leopards.India-Goa Goa on my mind! Just got back from two weeks in Goa and can't stop dreaming about it. It was a dream. Everything was so beautiful. Stayed on Calangute beach in a lovely freindly hotel. People in Goa are so helpful! There are always lots of like-minded adventurous travellers. Everyone has a different story to tell of how they got to Goa. We flew to Mumbai and then flew to Goa. We had return flights but decided to get the train back to Mumbai before flying back. A real experience. Try the masala milk! The shopping in Goa is amazing and the beaches are pristine and gorgeous. Seafood on tap and everything is SOOOO cheap! don't forget to barter!India-Goa Loved every second of it! Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: James Date of travel: 01/09/2007
I went further than Europe for the first time and decided to go to Miramar Beach because i had heard good things about it. I must say that my holiday to Goa exceeded all my expectations, the weather was fantastic and the beach was spotless with pristine water as far as the eye can see. i had the best sea-front view from my balcony room. The people were very friendly and contrary to what people think they are not all out to rip you off. If anyone is thinking of going there let me know and i will give you the details of some very friendly people i met there who will take good care of you.
