we were lucky enought to be recommended the fantastic Lycian center. It is privately owned and you stay in beautiful stone built fully furnished apartments set in lovely well kept gardens and all round the pool.
On site there are 3 different restaurants and bars all of which as a bonus you get 20per cent off.
Our favourite was the SHINE indian - especially Hasan and his jokes.
We didn't want to leave and have booked to come again next May.
Prices are so reasonable and they offer private transfers too.
This isn't in any brochures thank goodness as we want to keep it secret.......
So just don't tell all your friends!!!!!Hisaronu, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey A Happy Holiday Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: Sherrldean Date of travel: 07/02/2007
I LOVE HISARONU!!! |t was such a marvelous holiday pick. Our Hotel, Pink Palace was a mere 10 minute walk from the center of the town. Despite our proximity it was not too noisy at all and was still in view of the mountains. The night life was also bumping with fabulous clubs and bars with cheap drinks and food to eat late at night. The Blue Lagoon was a gorgeous beach that you can watch the sun come up after your night of dancing. But if you want to feel the class, glamour and less crowded luxury of a private beach try Joseph's beach. It was the first private beach that I have ever known and that motivated me to look for private beaches on all of my holidays. The locals could not have been friendlier. They actually stood outside and invited you to eat of drink at each and every restaurant and bar which caused them to give you better prices on everything. When ever my brother and I walked by someone would almost always say hello and ask you about their day. The days were quiet and the nights were a buzz. Olu Deniz beach was another beach that was nice to see but it was a bit harsh on the feet. The local bus service runs every 10 minutes and cost only 80p. The taxi service has fixed rates and you can always get one so you don't have the fear of getting taken advantage of. If you go to Kaya beach mind the nice lady who will show you to a sunbed and tell you it's free. Then she will take you into her restaurant and you will, tell you what she offers from the top of your head, and two small meals, salad and two glasses of wine will cost ?32 as it did us. |
