Hawaii, USA Reviews View Cheap Holidays To HawaiiHawaii, USA Paradise Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Toni Date of travel: 18/03/2007
These islands should be re named PARADISE. When coming into Honolulu airport as the plane tips it wings you can see that lovely blue of the ocean so welcoming you just wish that the you could jump of the plane staigth in. Steping of the plane the stress of life and everything just seemed to lift staight of your shoulders all you wanted to do was head straight for that water and relax.
This is where our holiday got funny everytime we got lost of could not find our way back to the hotel we counted the number of ABC stores there where, these are like little brick and brack shops on nearly every corner and street so no chance of getting lost once we sorted that out. Paradise does not sum up Hawaii you have to go there experience the people, food culture. I would recommend the whale watching take your camera yes but do stop and watch the most beautiful creatures as they jump and play around you. Go end explore as my words mean so little only buy going there can you really get that ==== no words to expalin how you feel. Just DO YOU HAVE TO COME BACK HOME AND WHEN CAN I GO AGAIN. Quick note would you get on the back of a Harley Davidson with a total stanger and leave your disabled Mum with his friend in this country answer NO well I did in Hawaii as that is how safe I felt with the people there at home and relaxed. Visit everying you can but remember leave a little for next time as you do crave a return trip.
Hawaii, USA Relax in Lanai Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Jean Date of travel: 15/06/2007
To celebrate our graduations from graduate school, my sister and I opted to take our mum on holiday to Hawaii. That was an out of the world gift. Hawaii is made of up six different islands that offer varying events for varying personalities. We went to the tranquil island of Lanai and stayed in Hotel Lanai. It must be the smallest hotel in the world because it only had 11 rooms. We wanted to go small on lodging so that it was more affordable and quaint. Hotel Lanai was located in a residential community near the center of town so we found many places for dinner and spots where we carried on memorable conversations with the natives. The fresh air on the island simply rejuvenated you. There was the scent of flowers in the air and upon entering the beach water it was warm right away. There was none of that silly fighting with the cold water, finally jumping in so that your body adjusts to it faster. The views from dinner, and tanning, were unbelievable. And, the people, oh the people knew the definition of hospitality front and back. We jet skied and a young boy taught us to surf. I have never been so embarrassed a when a 12 year old did tricks on his board and my sister and I could not even stand on the board. We remained on our bellies and drifted and laughed. |
