We have been to Florida twice now and each time we have loved it. The weather is great, people friendly and you will never be stuck for something to do. Universal Studio's is by far the best theme park and I would definitely recommend the Cocoa Beach Surf School one of the best days we ever had. Florida will never disappoint and will keep a smile on any kid or adults face. You need to visit Florida at least once in your life to feel the excitement and joy it can bring to everyone.

What a wonderful, extraordinary place! Full of fun, laughter and the friendliest people I have met in a long time! We had such a wonderful time and staying on International Drive was great fun. We had access to all the wonderful restaurants and evening entertainment. Downtown Disney was a hoot and the easy access to all Disney parks via rail or car journey being only maximum of 20 min drive. Kids loved it, adults loved it and we will defiantly be back, next time with grandchildren in tow! I would recommend this holiday destination to anyone. Made all my childhood dreams come true! Fantastic and magical, well priced and luxury in everyway!

I recently went on a 7 night stay in the heart of Orlando. I had an excellent time from start to finish. The only part I hated was going home. There is so much to see and do from shopping to dining with Mickey Mouse. I stayed in International Drive which had everything around me. Once in a life time thrills in Universal and Islands of Adventure and just once in a life time altogether. It is world famous for its beaches, places and not to forget its themeparks. Florida is one of those places that you have to visit in your life no matter what age you are so get booking!

This was our dream holiday for us and the kids. We were not disappointed in the slightest. We booked a year in advance and just couldn't wait for it to come round. It was well worth the wait. My kids didn't want to go home and if i could afford to i would move over there to live. Brilliant parks and rides, the kids loved the duelling dragons rollercoaster in universal. My favourite park was aquatica, the lazy river was awesome. We are praying tht we can go back sometime soon. This holiday has so much to offer and was well worth the money. There is something for everyone and the weather was fantastic, didn't mind the showers one bit.Every one should experience this fantastic dream holiday at least once in their lifetime.

Key West, Florida, USA What an interesting place

We drove to Key West from Miami one Monday morning. I had wanted to go here for years and years and finally we had gotten around to it during a tour of Southern Florida. We took the overseas highway down through the Keys and were very excited about the prospect. About five hours later of 40mph single track road we arrived in Key West and decided that if we were to come again we would fly! You definately have to drive it once I think but once is enough! It is beautiful and there are some lovely stopping points for photo ops but the Key towns are overly pretty and are generally a line of shops and cafes before you get back to the road again. Key West though was a different matter. It had a real old US town feel about it. The older part with all the Conch styles of architecture was just lovely and we enjoyed wandering around the local streets just looking at the different styles. Duvall Street is the main tourist area and is a very long street full of bars and eateries! The Conch train goes from this road and you can sign up for one of the two local ghost tours. Really the tourism is centred around here and its a good place to start if that is what you are here for. We were only staying for two nights and had really come for one main thing, what Key West is about in my eyes, sunset from Mallory Square, just off of Duvall Street. We did the Conch train tour and I personally found it to be an extortionate waste of money! It cost $30 each to ride in an exceedingly cramped train for about an hour and a half. You couldn't get off to explore anywhere and it was definately just about getting your money. I think you're better off getting a good guide book and working it out for yourself to be honest. We also did one of the ghost tours, the one where they don't dress up! That was also expensive but really brilliant. We learnt more about Key West on that and had interaction with the guide who answered our questions (unlike the train driver who told people off for talking!). Ghost tour is very highly recommended. We had a drive around ourselves and managed to take the photos they wouldn't let us take on the train ride, obligatory photo next to Southernmost buoy showing 90 miles to Cuba etc. We did watch the sunset from Mallory Square and loved all the entertainment in the hour leading up to sunset. Also had a walk around Key West Cemetary looking for the headstone that says "See I told you I was sick". Didn't find it. I really loved the atmosphere in Key West. I can't wait to go back there. We didn't have long enough there really and I would like to explore a little more. I would also be more prepared for it next time. It is expensive and there is definitely a lot aimed and getting your tourist dollar out of you but it can be done cheaper if you are prepared. Definintely worth a visit.

International Drive, Florida, USA Too Busy and Loud

International drive is full of entertainment but is really busy. If you hire a car it is very confusing to get around because of the crazy traffic, misleading on ramps, and winding roads. There was worlds of things to do, and all cheap but it was hard finding out what to do first. The food was good, and the restaurants brought you entirely new dishes of food if you did not like how they made it the first time. International drive is a big place and was quite noisy even in the hotel. Children running around and people screaming. It is not a good place for relaxing because everyone is on the go all of the time.

Everyone has got to love International Drive. International Drive is the place to be if you are in Orlando Florida. It is a long strip of fun, food, shows, people, and events. We went everywhere on the Drive and it took us our entire 2 and a half week holiday. Our hotel was big and very comfortable. If we did not like something in it, the staff made sure that they fixed it right away. They were always there when we called and provided many items that we need. Toothpaste, shampoos, and shower gel were all free. Outside of the hotel we had our choice of a wide array of things to do. We played mini golf which is harder than it sounds. We say weird things in the upside down building. We got absolutely soaked at the water park called Wet ‘n Wild. We rode down slides that extended for ages and rode rubber doughnuts down small tubes. To get to places that we could not walk around we took the I-Drive trolley that opened at 8am and closed at 10:30pm. When we stayed out longer we took a cab (taxi) that was ready available and cheap. We ate food at a restaurant that had hanging cars and ate at TGI Fridays. Everywhere we ate was cheap and even better when you thought of the conversion rates. Our favorite set of clubs, shopping, and food was Pointe Orlando which was an entire entertainment villiage. It had movie theatres and great places to walk and take photos and the amount of people was never overwhelming. I-Drive had all of our holiday pleasures from sling shot rides to quite evenings by the pool and driving up the road for beach fun. All you can eat buffet and colorful wonders. We must keep going back.

Cocoa Beach is an amazing experience with out a doubt. The crowned plaza hotel lived up to my expectation, you feel special when you arrive, the hotel was very up market and the hotel staff was very professional. The pool side was very spacious and there were waiters on hand if you wanted something to eat or drink, that’s what I call 1st class service. If you enjoy dining by the sea then a good choice is the Oh Shucks Seafood Bar and the Marlins Good Times Bar and Grill, the food is so delicious and the view is superb and calming. I would also recommend the Brevard Zoo, the animals are beautiful and my girlfriend got to feed the Monkeys and Giraffes, it was a good day out. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Cocoa Beach and will return there very soon.

Lovely town with lovely people. Lots of parks to walk around in and cheap place to stay and hire a car to drive around. Kissimmee is close to Melbourne, Tampa, International Drive, Universal Studios, Disney, Clearwater and Islands of Adventure. It is full of dollar shops (50p shops) and there is a wide array of restaurants to choose from. And when my husband asked for entertainment, boy he got it. We attended the Arabian nights horse show, we saw jousting at Medieval Times, held baby alligators at Gatorland, and saw a whale show at Seaworld. The whales can actually do back flips and dance (the biggest fis that I have ever seen and to be able to do moves like that). Food…..a grand variety of food. Tijuana flats has the best Mexican food ever in life ever ever. The queso (cheese) was so addictive that we bought a big tub and ate nachos at the hotel. At pizza hut, we received the best service of all of the restarants via the phone. This one lady with an Island accept, I think her name was Rosabelle, treated us with top service and care. She was so nice that we ordered again later on in the week. Not only did Kissimmee offer many attractions but there were also many residential locations. We went through Hunter’s creek and this street called Peppermill where we saw the three most beautiful children playing in the yard with their father. They were two boys (one toddler) and a little girl and they simply looked happy and safe in their neighborhood. The residents of Kissimmee were very nice in the local markets and told us that hundreds of tourist visit all year round. We would like to go back and if we look to live in Florida, there is where we will be.

I don’t think that I can put into words how Miami is for a Holiday destination but I will give it a go. Miami is one of the best places I have ever been to on holiday, the place has absolutely anything you could want for a great holiday. Miami Beach is one of the most popular beaches in the world and although it can get a bit overcrowded at times, it is still a great beach to hang out and enjoy the wonderful sun, sand and sea. The evenings in Miami city are vibrant and buzzing with a plethora of clubs and bars playing a wide range of popular music for you to dance into the early hours of the morning. There are a number of great restaurants that serve great sea food and you can find pretty much any kind of food form Chinese to Mexican its all there!

No matter where you take your kids in the world but nothing can compare to the excitement and pleasure they get from going to Disney World in Florida. I can’t lie even I found it exciting walking around the Disney resort and seeing all the cartoon characters messing around playing with the children. There is just so much to see and do there that you can never do it all in one visit, although I think it will be a while before we go back there as it’s not cheap.

My favorite theme park in the entire state of Florida is Universal's Islands of Adventure. That theme park is perfect for people who still love going on crazy rides that make your heart race and your stomach jump. Islands of Adventure is made of six islands that are arranged around a lagoon. Each Island has its own theme and fun things to do. My favorite island is Marvel Superhero Island. Each ride is themed after a comic book character like the Incredible Hulk roller coaster or the Spider man action ride. The rides are much better after dark because the neon lights lead the way. Another awesome island is Jurassic Park. It is designed with the movie in mind. The Jurassic Park River Adventure ride was super cool because it took us through the exhibits of Jurassic Park and ended in a 26 m drop away from T-Rex. The food was really good but expensive but what do you expect?it is a theme park. The other islands were cool too but I was there for the thrill, not for education or for shows. I will go back as many times as I can. It is a great alternative to Disney because the rides were geared to the older crowds.

I had never heard of Sunny Isles, Florida so I was very skeptical when my girlfriend suggested that we take holiday there. She said that it was the perfect holiday spot because it was moderately priced and looked great when she looked it up online. Stating that it was not a long drive from Miami was how she convinced me to go. Well, Sunny Isles was a big beach town. Since we traveled with both families we rented a vacation home on the beach which did prove to be very cheap. There we spent a lot of time on the beach. The beach was nice and had lots to do. My brothers and I entered a Volleyball tournament where we lost to the natives. There were all sorts of food at the beach and places to rent Kayaks to go the water. My surfing experience was fun but I will never put myself in a position where I fall in the water that many times again. Besides the beach there was not much to do in Sunny Isles so we rented a car and drove towards Miami. Of course we did many nights in Miami but we spent our days at the Museums and the student film centers. It was interesting to see students create and direct their own productions. Sunny Isles was a nice beach town and close to other towns to do other things.

MIAMI! What can I say about Miami than what everyone describes? Miami is where all the action happens. Beautiful people, incredible food, and places to party until the sun comes up and sets again. Our hotel, Riu Florida Beach Hotel was in the middle of it all and everything went on in it. Immense swimming pools, all night bars, dancing lessons and fancy room service. You open the door and step out on the balcony and the big blue water is right in front of your eyes. It feels better than it looks and the white sand is perfect for on shore beach activities, and volleyball too. But the night time made you not want to come home to even all that. The place to be to club was Park West in Down Town MIA. You go to one club that closes at 2, then go to the one that closes at 6am then over to the one that is going until 8am. Grab breakfast and walk around the town to see these amazing people enjoying life. Music everywhere all day. In the corner store we danced with the people in the aisles. Even the hot dog stand had music and right around the corner there was a dance off contest. And there always seems to be a cultural something going on. The Haitians were having a celebration and gave out food that I want to take home with me.

Located 15 minutes away from the parks of Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista was our holiday destination of choice. We did not want to have a hotel inside of Disney because it would be entirely too expensive so we chose a place that was more pleasant for our wallets. Lake Buena Vista is utterly precious. My husband spent much vacation time at its big golf course and we had picnics on the lake. Not many residents live there so we were surrounded my nice shops that we made for us, the tourists. We went to the movie theatre, visited parts of Orlando and even made our way to Universal Studios. Very different from Disney, the family had wonderful full days at each park. In Disney we had Mickey Mouse and the High School Musical dancers. In Universal we had big Dinosaurs and big shows. In our efforts to see how the ?Floridians? live, we ventured out to the Celebration community. Oh, the houses were lovely in their old time theme. They looked like American houses from the 1930s. Although far from being old, we were told that the community was built less then 15 years ago. We also went to a sort of year round fair called Old Town. The children enjoyed cotton candy and Ferris Wheels, car shows displaying cars from decades ago, and the food.

The title is true, I have officially fallen in love with Key West and now I am to convince my husband that we must move there immediately. We took a family holiday there a couple of weeks ago and absolutely enjoyed it. The sights, sounds, smells, and feel were simply wonderful. One of our first experiences of Key West was our hotel concierge. We asked him what were some of the things that we could do on our trip and he gave us the list of: Back-Country Safari, Boat Rentals, Dive-In-A-Day, Dolphin Tours, Dry Tortugas, Fishing, Glass bottom Boats, Jet Ski, Kayaking, Parasail, Scuba Diving, Sky Diving, Snorkeling, Submarine Tour, and Sunset Cruise. We thanked him, sorted out the list and were on our way. Sky Diving was trip number one. It was the hardest in overcoming our fears so we tried it straight away. What a thrill, the wind in my hair, and the feeling of actually doing it was exhilarating. Next we picked up the children and took out the Glass Bottom Boats. It felt quite odd standing on water and being able to look down upon the sea life. The children had fun in their attempts to reach for the fish. They had more fun in swimming with the dolphins. I have never seen a gentler creature as dolphins who allow children to hang on their fins and swim. The tropical themed housing is not where I will set up our home but somewhere close.

The Beach Boys sang of the Florida Keys and stated that they were the place to holiday. The most beautiful sand, exotic beaches, tropical drink delights, and steel drum music bands. Well, they truly knew much about the places of which they sang. A few months passed my husband and I took the children on Holiday the family to Key Largo for pure beach perfection and we achieved it. To commence our hotel was the most splendid structure that I have ever seen. We took temporary residence at Key Largo Grande Resort and Beach club for six nights and five days. Although we were exhausted from travel our bodies could not convince our minds to take rest because we wanted to explore it. It was a massive building with in door and out door pools and restaurants. It was right on the beach so we had swim time before it became too dark. There were lights and vendors all long the ocean front and we danced and dined to music on our very first night. At the Hotel we saw a bride in her spectacular wedding gown enter a room. They did the ceremony in the hotel. Not too far from the Hotel was the Everglades National Park. The children cherished seeing the wildlife and plant life and pointed out alligator eyes with the tour guide. For a night we left the children with the local babysitting assistance and my husband and I enjoyed a single night in Miami. It is a glamorous as everyone describes. Key Largo was island paradise at its best. Nature trails, Jet Skiing, and white sand beaches gave us the feel of perfect tranquility. I would not mind being stranded on this island.

International Drive, Florida, USA I-Drive

If you find yourself in Orlando, Florida, then I-Drive is the place to be. International drive is the tourist strip of the Sunny State. I took holiday there for one week and planned to venture out of the Drive but could not find myself to do so. There was too much to do there and I just touched on everything in that week. The initial thing that caught my eye was the upside down house that resembled the White House of the United States. The house was literally upside down and upon entering I discovered why. It was the Ripley's Believe it or not Museum and had on display many wonders. They call it the museum of the odd, unusual and unbelievable. It had some of the world's largest and smallest things ever. Further down the large and long strip my friends and I took chance at the sitting bungee toss. You sit on a chair that is attached to large bungee cords, you then are lowered down the platform and then shot up in the air. We went upside down, around and over. We loved it. The shopping and eating on I-Drive was incredible because it was good and cheap. I got 12 souvenirs for under $39 (?19.50). On the strip there are hotels that rate from very cheap to expensive and fulfilled the taste of everyone. At night our favorite spot was the Glo night club because each night was a different theme. One night would be Latin and another would be pop music night. It was called Glo because if you wore anything white or yellow the club lighting would have it glow. We rode bumper cars, small roller costars and ate the biggest breakfast we have ever experienced at the Ponderosa Buffet.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA A True Holiday

It is said that most people only come to Fort Lauderdale to retire and I can see why. Retirement is supposed to be for your enjoyment. It is a time after work that you have earned to merely relax and spend your leisure time. In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, you can do so. It is a glimpse of life when you are on constant holiday. I had the privilege to spend two and a half weeks there and came out feeling fully relaxed. It is not a fast paced town in fact it is completely the opposite. Gorgeous houses and hotels, gardens and greenery and an ambiance that told you to take your time and slow down. In Fort Lauderdale I had a true holiday. I did not run from sight to sight after getting little sleep just so that I could see everything. Instead I visited upscale shops and ate at high quality restaurants. I swam on a number of beaches and took a stroll down Las Olas Boulevard to visit actual boutiques. At night the Riverfront is packed with free entertainment of all kinds so I had to go more than once to experience it all. The family and I went to the Everglades Holiday Park and the Museum of Discovery and Science and learned a great deal about Florida history. We also rented a small boat and took it along the canals. We were told that Fort Lauderdale used to be a noisy, tacky Spring Break stop. I am glad we came after the time of change.

I have been to many beaches and Cocoa beach is one that I would holiday at again. The beach is massive and when my grandmother and I went was full of people on all sides. Cocoa Beach is what you would think of when trying to define beach town. The entire town remains in beach theme with big lobsters as signs for seafood restaurants and surf boards signs along the major road. The prices of the hotels and attractions also had the feel of a small town by the fact that the prices were really good. While grandmother took in some sun on the sand, I went deep sea fishing. This is a sport where you do not need much training but you get to see fish with the most amazing colors. I also took a chance at Parasailing and have never felt freer. Grandmother had a fantastic time shopping and golfing and together we went aboard the Carnival Cruise Line ship and enjoyed a little gambling and karaoke singing. At night we had splendid dinners with smiling attractive waiters. After dinner we would take in small shows. My grandmother enjoyed the jazz clubs the most. One of our last ventures was the eco-tour where we were placed face to face with real wildlife.

They call it the sunshine state because it is almost permanently sunny and I am glad to report that I experienced all of that sun during my winter vacation. Florida is one of the top holiday hotspots because it is so hot. My family and I took holiday there to escape the snow. We spend time in Miami, Orlando, and Tampa. In Miami we took in the night life and went on tours that showed us the locations of the houses of the stars. We saw Latin and African Dancing shows and tasted spicy Cuban food. In Orlando we visited Rollins College, a beautiful private University displaying Spanish Mediterranean architecture in its buildings. There we spoke to the students to have a feel of the town and explore the place where my younger brother might attend University. We had dinner at Arabian Nights which is a dinner show with a Middle Eastern theme. Men and women did stunts on horses and the horses danced. We passed several orange groves as we made our way through the state. In Tampa we visited the Dinosaur museum and spent from early morning until late night at Busch Gardens Adventure Park. Florida is a true sign of sun, hospitality, and a good time.

Clearwater beach in Clearwater, Florida has the clearest water in the entire state. I have lived in Florida for the last 5 years and have gone to almost all of the beaches but Clearwater is my favorite beach of all. The sand is not that annoying sand that is hard to walk on and bothers the feet but is soft, yet firm, and a lovely shade of white. The sun shines bright on the land and you can hear the live music from the most popular restaurant at almost all points of the beach. The water is absolutely amazing because it is warm and relaxing. You could simply lie down and sleep from comfort if it were not for the waves. On the strip that runs alongside the beach there are many family owned restaurants to choose from. Those were the best places in which to eat because they had the most reasonable prices and the best homemade food. The shops also had smart pricing. I got a dress for under $10 (?5). You can spend a few days well in Clearwater at the beach alone. To venture out you can visit Busch Gardens which is under an hour away. It is one of the best theme parks in Florida with animal and animal size rides.

Yes, I understand that it is a small town but in Kissimmee, Florida you will have the time of your life. Kissimmee is the home of the famous Walt Disney World. My husband, my daughter and I had the chance to visit all 4 parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and MGM). They had things to do for us and for 4 year old Kiara. We saw and pet the animals, rode big and small roller coasters, saw delightful shows and ate big turkey leg drums. We stayed at the Quality Inn suites located in central Kissimmee and on our way about we looked on either side of the major highway and saw cows and horses grazing. Our hotel was in a good position from Disney that we escaped the traffic of our fellow tourists but were still able to see the fireworks display from the Grand Floridian Hotel. When were had our fill of Disney we participated in less commercial activities. We fed baby alligators, we rode canoes and saw adult alligators, and we even left Kiara at the babysitting service and took a hot air balloon ride followed by a picnic in at the Kissimmee Lake Front Park. It was delightful and our days were always filled with something to do. And the locals, we loved the locals. They offered service with a smile and did not hesitate to give us directions if we were lost. We had so much to do in this little town. It was more than we imagined.

OMG this was the best holiday ever. And i have been many places. I and three other people decided to go on a fun holiday to the USA. Orlando was where we went as it is so close to everything we wanted to do and see. We went to Disney, Safari, Universal studios, and swimming with Dolphins. It was out of this world man, we had so many jokes. The Dolphin bit was crazy never thought I'd enjoy it that much, these creatures are so clever I'm telling you and you can't help but love them. The Safari was real fun, saw so many wild animals and driving in the park looking for them was an adventure of its own. The rides are brilliant, and Alton Towers can't match up the slightest. Too much to do over there, clubs, bars, restaurant, shops, whatever you please and the food is great. People are nice and get so excited when they find out you are from the UK which was funny. Great Place, Great Holiday, and friendly people.

Orlando was very hot when i went and when it rains it rains really hard. We got soaked in a mtter of seconds while waiting to go on one ride at Universal Studios. Orlando has a pretty good night life with clubs and shows to keep you entertained.

This is obviously every little kids dream and we finally made it come true for our kids this summer after planning it for a year. it really is a magial experience and even the grown ups get sucked in to the wonderful world of disney. This is one family holiday that is mandatory for all parents at least once in a lifetime.
