Dalyan is a warm and friendly place to holiday with great site seeing and helpful local people. Me and my wife took the boat down the river that eventually reaches the beach, it's very welcoming and the scenery is breathtaking in its own right. We stayed at the Calbis hotel and we were happy with the treatment we received, the pool was very warm and the gardens were well looked after too. The staff was the friendliest people you can ever come across, they make you feel very welcome and very at home. There are plenty of shops and restaurants, most restaurants have a similar menu but it's the atmosphere in some restaurants that get your attention. There is also a Sunday market and haggling prices is quite fun and the market people enjoy it too. The weather can be a little hot at times but the breeze from the river cools you down and makes the holiday bearable. Me and my wife have booked our next visit for 2008 and we can not wait either. |
