My family and I went to Roquetas de Mar for the first time last year. Our hotel was on the beachfront with a beautiful sea view from our hotel room. The food was superb with no complaints whatsoever. The shops and bars were located nearby. The weather was lovely. We visited the market and the shopping mall. We even took a ride on the train which took you round the resort. That was very interesting seeing all the locals houses and how different they were. All in all we had such a good time and really enjoyed it we are thinking of going back to the same hotel again this year.Roquetas de Mar, Costa de Almeria, Spain Nice Holiday! Me and my family went to Roquetas de Mar for the first time and we liked it, was not one of my best holidays but we can't complain either. The hotel was close to the beach the pool was a good size, the hotel room was clean and spacious and the staff we very helpful. There was a few things to get stuck into, plenty of kids activities so that’s good. Food is limited but very nice though. Weather was on and off, some days it was to hot and other days it was chilly, even though the sun was out but the sea breeze kept it cool. If you get bored of the beach then a trip to the Roquetas Museum will lift your mood... And a drink down Sandy's cocktail bar afterwards to chill you out, so it's not all bad.Costa de Almerica - Other, Costa de Almeria, Spain Great Getaway! Cool holiday! Would go back for sure, it's great, sun, sea and cocktails thats what it's all about. And a few bikini babes too, top! There was plenty of partying going on and the clubs are buzzing!Costa de Almeria, Spain It was a good destination. Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Lynn Date of travel: 12/06/2007
Costa de Almeria is a nice destination, very welcoming and friendly place. Minarete Apartments are basic but very clean though, and great staff as well. There was a curly slide in the pool area which was great fun, so there was no need for the aqua park, yeah right! That was fun. The Balzac restaurant was varied, with live music while you eat and there were dancers too. A really good choice for food and drinks as well. All I got to say about Costa de Almeria is it was a varied holiday, things to do, not to loud or in your face type resort. It was a really enjoyable holiday.Mojacar, Costa de Almeria, Spain for all ages Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: sally Date of travel: 05/10/2006

The Mojacar Playa Hotel is a clean, family-run hotel, it’s situated right across the road from the beach and there are a number of good restaurants within walking distance. Children are more than welcome!Costa de Almerica - Other, Costa de Almeria, Spain Birthday surprise Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Jake Date of travel: 18/05/2007
Got taken to Sapin for a surprise birthday party. We stayed in Almerimar, not far from Almeria. Couldn't have asked for a nicer birthday present. Lots of golf and gorgeous beaches. Just enough partying at night and relaxing during the day without being too Roquetas de Mar, Costa de Almeria, Spain Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: George Date of travel: 25/09/2007
Roquetas de Mar is a very good family holiday destination with lots of activities revolving around the family. There are some really clean and beautiful beaches which is what Roquetas de Mar is really all about. There are some good restaurants and a few bars but on the whole it is a quiet family oriented resort.Mojacar, Costa de Almeria, Spain Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Amy Date of travel: 17/05/2007
This is definitely a resort for the active-minded visitor with so many activities to do I doubt that one visit to Mojacar will be enough. You can do everything form hiking to golfing and then if you still have any energy left over from the days activities there are a few bars and clubs that will entertain you throughout the night. Budu is one of my favourite pubs and you should pay it a visit if you get a chance and you will understand why I recommended it.Costa de Almeria, Spain Rating: 4/10 Submitted by: Gideon Date of travel: 19/04/2006
Not a particularly great holiday destination for someone looking for a proper holiday, by proper I mean that there is not much of a crowd there and although the beaches are spotless and the water is excellent for any kind of water sports, the resort doesn't have that holiday feel about it. I am sure if I liked a quite holiday destinations where i could hide away from the world than this would be the ideal place. Not much of a night life and just not enough people in general. |
