This was our first visit to Albir (10 mins from Benidorm). My wife, two sons and myself all stayed at the Gardens Hotel. Hotel was clean and comfortable, so no complaints there. Every morning started with a visit to Shevlins bar, about 3-5 mins walk down from the hotel. They do a very nice full english at very reasonable prices, plus I could catch up on the latest skynews whilst eating my breakfast! It does get quite busy there so be early. A stroll down to the beach (pebbles) takes around 15 mins, although the buses are every 15 mins at a cost of 1.20e. Some nice bars and cafes on the seafront, so spoilt for choice. Also tried and failed miserably at the mini golf on the sea front. Try the WOK for a chinese buffet, only 10e for eat all you want, nice surroundings too. With having the two boys, we did not venture into benidorm, but maybe one for the future. Shevlins also has karaoke on the weekend, which again was very popular. I would recommend this resort to families and couples, very rlaxing with plenty to keep you occupied. I rate this as one of my favourite holidays.

What do you want from a holiday? Do you want great beaches, good nightlife, theme parks,a sunny climate, Benidorm has it all. It is only 3 hours flying time from the UK. Beni is one of the largest resort cities in Spain, and has approx 1 million vistors each year most of them British. There are four areas in Benidorm,Ricon,Levente,Old Town, and Poniente, each with it's own flavour. They are like four mini towns in one large city. The Ricon and Lavente districts are catering for the British mass tourism market, the Old Town is were the Spainish live and the Poniente area is mostly Spainish holidaymakers. The Recon and Lavente have most of the hotels all of which are high rise with up to 20 floors, in the travel brouchers. They have also the largest entertainment area devoted to the British holiday maker, with most bars being run by ex pats from the Uk, from night clubs, cabaret bars, karaoke, themed bars, lap dancing clubs all can be found in this district. For drinks ect it is one of the cheapest in Spain, a pint can still be had for 1 euro in the daytime. The Old Town district seems to have a large number of ice cream palours empty during the day but packed at night with the Spanish. It is quaint with a large number of good shops and for a real flavour of Spain go to Tapas Alley which is a small area of tapas bars and well worth a visit. The Old Town also has a very large gay scene at night with a fair number of gay bars and clubs. The Poniente area is quiet end of this brash city with Spainish tourists being in the majority. It has something to suit everyone. The infamous Square, for the clubers, The Old town for the gays,The Calle Gerona, for the families and golden oldies, and blue flag beaches for the sun worshipers.Benidorm is a place you will either love or hate. It is big and brash with very little Spainish culture. If you want a flavour of Spain then it is not for you. If you want 24 hour entertainment, good beaches,British food, then you will love it. Either way try it and see.

Stayed at Camping excalibur, pool was fantastic, just not to many sunbeds. Each morning we had a lovely breakfast at shevlins 10 min walk into the the main road into albir, which was a brilliant start to each day n very reasonable prices. Albir beach was really nice just pebbly but didnt bother us. Some nice restaurants to eat in on a nite, saritas indian was lovely not cheap but a lovely meal think was about 60euros for 4 of us. Chineses were cheap but not that great depending on what we had. Spent a few nites in benidorm 10 min taxi ride away, and 2nites in shevlins for karaoke which was very popular. I would definatly return to albir.

This is our second visit to albir this year. The attraction of this cosmopolitan place was too strong to miss. One of the first things we noticed was how clean the streets were, how wide and open the whole place was.We have never been so relaxed on a holiday.Eating out is a pleasure with so much to choose from.We visited the American Diner a few times for great food and hosts.Lots of chinees to choose from also.A bus ride at 0ne euro will take you to Benidorm for the hustle and bustle of nightlife if you want. Albir has a charm that is breathtaking,a holiday we recommend. The only downside to Albir from my point of view, the beach is made of peables and not sand but the setting is stunning.

When visiting the wonderful resort of Albir bear in mind that this is a location for the non Benidorm type, by that I mean that the resort is pretty quite and offers a place of relaxation and away from the bustling crowds. Don’t worry though you won’t be stranded in the middle of nowhere, you are still close enough to go off and party at the nearby resorts. The town itself look very modern with very wide roads and plenty of space which means now fighting for parking.

Its one of the nicest resorts I’ve been to, we stayed at the Albir Playa hotel, from the front there is huge tinted windows and the rooms are amazing, very bright and clean. The beach is on your door step too so you have the best of both worlds; it was a good choice of holiday. The El Popopollo café was our main morning start to the day, with a greasy breakfast and a nice cup of tea to follow. Then we would hit the beach and sunbathe for a couple hours. Next door to the El Popopolla cafe was our favourite pub, the Ye Olde Pub, the drinks were very refreshing. There was a golf course if anyone fancied a game of golf and there were also tennis courts too to keep you active through out the day. It wasn’t just sunbathing to be done; there was snorkelling, scuba diving and wind surfing as well. You will never get bored.

Beautiful place, nice lively area, nice beaches, shopping areas and attractions. The people are really friendly and there are some great big shopping centres, a great water park called Wet & Wild and there is also a go karting place which is a lot of fun. I love Alicante, La Marina I will be back next year!

This was my first time to Benidorm, it's my boyfriends 3rd and he really enjoys it. So did I when I arrived. From day 1 there was activities going on, the reps gave you a tour of the resort and then you have a talk about things going on and if you want to join on in etc, but me and my boyfriend did our own thing. We planned our own day but never kept to it though! We did plenty of sunbathing and swimming. The Aqua Park was cool and the aquarium was good as well. I’m a big fish fan, so the snorkelling was a big hit. Our hotel the Presidente hotel was tall; thank god we were based on the 4th floor. There were also loads of other hotels close by which sometimes spoiled the view and blocked the sun too on a number of occasions. Great nightlife, some top bars, disco bars and clubs etc, but with just the 2 of us we sometimes got a bit bored as everyone were in groups or families and there is only so much you can do. But we both enjoyed our selves though that was the main thing.

Very nice resort which offers great entertainment for children and adults so there is so much fun for everyone. The Palm Beach hotel is very spacious and clean, also great views from the balcony too. The pool wasn't very big, in fact quite small considering the size of the hotel. That was our only disappointment. Great beaches that stretch for miles so you can enjoy a family stroll and stop of at the bars and restaurants along the way. The kids enjoyed the banana boats while myself and my wife relaxed on the beach. In the evening the hotel put on a few family treats and there was enjoyment to be had out side the resort too so you wasn’t stuck to one place.

Javea is a wonderful place, the scenery is breath taking and the greatest attraction was the Elephant Mountain with out a doubt. Have a few glasses of wine and see for your self! But you have to see it to believe it. In the morning I would pass through Javea and wander round and admire the whitewashed buildings with gothic features. The gothic Church of San Bartolome is a great attraction. The Parador de Javea hotel is where I stayed and the hotel is right on the beach, there is a wall that divides the hotel and the beach but once you step outside of the hotel the beach is right there and it was beautiful, crystal blue sea and soft white sand. There were hundreds of restaurants and bars along the strip, a selection of fish, Italian and takeaway restaurants. You can't beat the night life either, it give's Ibiza a run for its money. It was very good entertainment and great party atmosphere too.

Costa Blanca has always been my favorite holiday destination. It has the friendliest local people, lively bars, nice sandy beaches and comfortable hotels. I've also stayed in the same hotel for the past 4 years now, (Magic Rock Gardens Hotel) it’s worth a look. If you’re unfit though then ask for a ground floor room as the hotel is huge! I have met a few friends here which make coming back here every year a treat. Twiggy’s cocktail bar is so much fun; they have fish bowls and buy one get one free offers. Plus there are a few men who juggle fire sticks in there hands on the stage, which is pretty good. The bar closes as 2am and if you wanted you can go to the night clubs (Hard Rock Café) & TX club which stay open till 6am in the morning. Bit much for me. Plus the bar is close to the hotel so its not far to walk once I’ve had enough. When you arrive you will not want to leave.

I stayed in Alicante, Costa Blanca. I was happy with the service I received and the activities that was going on. I took a daytrip on a boat to Benidorm and spent the day exploring, I went to the Benidorm Palace and watched a majic show and then watched the dancers do their bit, that was brilliant. We also enjoyed a trip to Alicante's Safari Park, now that was amazing. In the evening time we went to a couple of the Casino's and played blackjack and the slot machines, I won something but nothing to scream about... The beach is nice and the hotel was good, so it was a fantastic holiday with no bad points.

We went to Javea around April time and it was very quiet , that was good in a way but boring in another way. I heard a rumor that there was a mountain in a shape of an Elephant so I had to have a look for my self and to be honest, when you stare at the feature for a long time it is actually an elephant and its trunk hanging into the sea. That was a nice attraction to see. The beaches were quiet. The sea was a nice deep blue colour, the hotel we stayed in was overlooking the sea and the view was amazing. We had a walk in the village and the streets were so narrow and there were little cafe's every where, the people were very friendly as well. I would go back in the peak season next time to get a feel of place with more tourists about. But I enjoyed my stay at Javea and would go again.

I was really suprised with how tiny the resort Cala Finestrat is but with Benidorn close by it made the holiday much more open. We enjoyed a day at the Terra Mitticia Theme Park and the La Marina Shopping centre, it was just to get us away from the resort basically and to stop us from getting bored. The hotel was very basic but clean, nice pool even though it was the only one and was always crowded but it was loveley. The beach was beautiful, just like a post card picture. I loved the banana boat and the ringo's... Along the sea front were a selection of restaurants, we had lunch and dinner in a different restaurant each night to get a sence of which restaurant was the best, but they all were the same really. It was a fun holiday and I would defo go back at some point.

Albir is a seaside resort but the beach is pebble and not sand. You do get your sandy areas but you have to walk further along the coast and it's always busy. There is a Water park close by which is cool and you always have something to do and enjoy with the tones of activities available. There is a few restaurants and bars too so there is plenty of food and beers and the night life is good so the resort does have it's good points..
