Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Helga Date of travel: 04/10/2007
I would recommend the Coconut Bar to anyone who goes to Arillas. Fun staff, excellent cocktails and banging music!Kontokali, Corfu, Greece Dont hide the treasures inside Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Lynda Date of travel: 05/09/2006
A must do is the Kontokali Bay Hotel private beach. Spotless….gorgeous…..not too many people…sparkling. A wonderful beach experience with people at hand to cater to you and wide selection of bars and restaurants. Very posh and upscale but nice to do once in a while. On the other end, the village of Kontokali was very run down. In order to attract more tourism, they should run maintenance on the entire place. Its saving grace was the marina which was better looking and had more places in which to eat and drink. 100% all of the way every single last taverna in Kontokali had top notch food at very reasonable prices. There was a lot to discover in Kontokali and had great food and cleanliness but the run down look of the town made people want to turn away and miss the hidden treasure that lies within.Benitses, Corfu, Greece Roula Studios Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: paula & dale Date of travel: 03/09/2007
Lovely accommodation Spiros and Anne very good hosts, the Roula Studios are in the very centre of Benitses and it is very pretty and quaint, met some really lovely people, however 10 mins walk away it looks very run down and seedy and off putting. However i would seriosly think about returning but only to RoulaBenitses, Corfu, Greece Go to De-Stress Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Jack Date of travel: 19/01/2007
Bad place for young people looking for fun. Quiet resort. Pebble beaches but easy too walk on. Nice and shallow for meters so you don’t have to work hard to enjoy the water. Many places to fish or buy cheap fresh fish. Lots of places to eat but not much to do. Very clean and pretty. You can shop a little but this site is really designed who need to de-stress and catch up on sleep.Paleocastritsa, Corfu, Greece Spectacular scenery Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Rachel Date of travel: 08/08/2006
Warning to all visitors to Paleokastritsa, make sure you are fairly fit as the village is pretty steep and will require a lot more energy to explore than some of the more flatter resorts. Paleokastritsa has got the most wonderful beaches and spectacular scenery which will have you in awe of the village. There are some pleasant bars and restaurants that serve good food and offer a friendly atmosphere like, the Spiros Taverna which had some really good food and the staff was very friendly.Nissaki, Corfu, Greece away from the crowd Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Kim Date of travel: 16/01/2005
Unless you have a family or a significant other, keep away from Nissaki as that's the kind of people the resort is for. Families and couples who want to get away from the crowd and enjoy a resort with a bit more local flavour will find Nissaki the perfect resort for a vacation. The is good variety of water sports and the beach is nice but the nightlife is a bit dull and you will have to go a bit further for some excitement. Moraitika, Corfu, Greece the family will love it Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Tia Date of travel: 18/05/2007
My visit to Moraitika, Greece was a very good as my whole family enjoyed it. Moraitika is ideal for a family holiday with lots of fun activities for everyone and great facilities for the kids. The shallow waters and clean beaches are perfect for the children to enjoy a splash. Taking a stroll through the village is refreshing and you will find some really good restaurants and caf's along the way. There is a very good nightlife to enjoy in the village with many bars and clubs for those traveling without kids. Messonghi, Corfu, Greece Not for singles Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Natalie Date of travel: 16/03/2006
Families and couples will love the small cozy resort of Messonghi which is a quiet village with a nice clean beach. It is a pleasant experience walking through the village and enjoying a light snack one of the local caf's. The beach is nice and clean and not too crowded so as long as you get there at a reasonable hour you can pretty much pick your spot to lay down your beach towel. If you want a bit more adventure then you can make the small trip to Moraitika which is only 10-15 minutes away. Kontokali, Corfu, Greece Quite base Rating: 6/10 Submitted by: Selina Date of travel: 02/03/2007
This is a good place to set up base for your holiday in Corfu. The village is very small and quiet with very little to do for entertainment but, it is perfect for a base where you can stay at a nice hotel and then visit the surrounding resorts like Gouvia where you will find more fun activities. Kontokali is good for visitors who are just looking for some peace and quite, especially good for couples and retired people. Kanoni, Corfu, Greece Mouse Island Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Mushtak Date of travel: 01/11/2005
Kanoni is an interesting resort that you will find is relatively quite compared to the other Greek resorts. It looks like the resort was made for couples and retired people as it seems like an uneventful village. Although a small boat ride away will bring you to Mouse Island which is worth a visit. The food in Kanoni is pretty good and some of the caf's a restaurants offer wonderful views facing the water. For those interested in history will find the oldest church in Corfu here, the Paleopolis Basilica is a nice historical attraction.Ipsos, Corfu, Greece If you like to party Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Edwardo Date of travel: 14/09/2006
Ipsos is the party place in Corfu with a fantastic range of nightlife with lots of bars and clubs that are open into the early hours of the morning. I wouldn't recommend Ipsos for a family holiday as it is very noisy and packed full of bars and clubs. This is definitely one for the young adults looking to have a good time.Dassia, Corfu, Greece Great for water sports Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: Alex Date of travel: 13/08/2007
I specifically went to Dassia as a few of my friends had been before and they said it was great, especially for water sports and being a water baby I thought it would be perfect for my holiday. Saying that the beach was clean would be an understatement, it was spotless and the water was clear and calm. The people were pleasant, a lot of them were British and the food was okay. If you love the beach and want to have some real fun in the water than I strongly recommend Dassia for your next holiday. Agios Ioannis, Corfu, Greece For Families & Couples Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Neha Date of travel: 15/06/2005
You will love Agios Ioannis if you are a looking for a romantic holiday or a family vacation. The well maintained and the beaches are very clean. Agios Ioannis is close to the airport making transportation very easy. If you are looking for a younger and vibrant atmosphere with a good nightlife than you can make your wary to Corfu Town which is only 15 minutes away as Agios Ioannis is a resort for relaxation and quite activities.Archaravi, Corfu, Greece Beautiful resort Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Ray Date of travel: 18/05/2006
Me and my girlfriend loved Archaravi and enjoyed the walks into the old town where we discovered Roman Baths and traditional houses. We also took a taxi into Kassiopi so we could go to the water park which we really enjoyed. The beach had an amazing view with vegetation and mountains, including Mount Pantokrator, Corfu's highest peak, while watching the sun go down over the mountains with a cocktail in your had, there was nothing more in this world I could of dreamed of. Archaravi is a nice and relaxing resort to visit and I would recommend it to everyone.Agios Gordios, Corfu, Greece I enjoyed Agios Gordios. Rating: 6/10 Submitted by: Phillip Date of travel: 01/05/2006
Agios Gordios is a small but stunning resort with scenery to die for. Our hotel was based very close to the beach and the pool was nice but very crowded at times. So being close to the beach made all the difference. The entertainment in the evening was superb, from hotel singers and dancers, disco, karaoke etc. When I got to the resort it had that holiday feeling from the start, thats what I really enjoy about going on holiday.Arillas, Corfu, Greece Perfect Holiday Getaway! Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Juliette Date of travel: 15/09/2005
Arillas is a perfect holiday getaway, me, my pertner and out 2 boys stayed here and enjoyed the time we spent together as a family. I'm not really into the busy tourist holiays with clubs and pubs every where, I like a nice and relaxing resort that offers the basic requirements. We stayed at the Arillas bay resort which had a nomal sized swimmingpool and a decent family sized hotel room. There was also a choice of 3 restaurants and a family pub so it had everything we was looking for. So if anyone is looking for a quiet and relaxing but fun holiday then choose Arillas.Roda, Corfu, Greece Roda is Peaceful and Relaxing. Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Steven Date of travel: 19/07/2006
I visited Roda with my wife and 2 children, we stayed at the Roda Beach Resort which catered for families like ours. Sidari is also close by so we would take a day trip to one of the other beaches and resorts for a change. Every other day there were BBQ day trip by boat to one of the other islands, we would spend the day eating and geting to know the locals. It was wonderful. We would also treat the kids to horse riding and go carting to keep them entertained and of the evening time we would go for a meal and spend the night at one of the beach resort pubs.Sidari, Corfu, Greece Sidari is Beautiful! Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Colin Date of travel: 06/06/2005
Me and my family spent a week in Sidari and stayed at the Socrates Hotel. The hotel was spacious and very clean, 3 bedrooms, its very own kitchen, lounge and dining room area, en suite and a family bathroom with a large balcony too. There was a bar by the pool area with a shaded sunbed area and the rest was open, it was great. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Sidari's beach was 2 seconds from the hotel with loads of water sports and kids activities. In the evening there was a disco for the kids and bars all across the resort for everyone. It was a great holiday and me and my family will be returning very soon.Kassiopi, Corfu, Greece Kassiopi Rules! Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Debbie Date of travel: 08/09/2005
Me and 3 girlfriends went to Kassiopi for a week and we ejoyed every last moment of it. Although the beach was pebbled and not sandy, that was the only downfall but other than that it was a good holiday. In the day time we had a walk round the resort and saw some top things. The harbour was nice and you could also see the remains of the Kassiopi castle which we explored. The ruins were amazing and it was a good experience. In the evening the resort opened up into a bar/club land and came alive, the De 'Ja vu bar on the harbour front was top. It was full of youngsters and it was a right laugh. We are going to go back but not just yet as we have planned another liveley holiday to Ibiza to compare the difference, but I doubt it will beat Kassiopi as its a top place to stay...Gouvia, Corfu, Greece Very nice resort. Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Victoria Date of travel: 11/04/2006
Me and my husband stayed at the Kerkyra Beach Hotel which was superb. There was a large pond in the resort with a water feature and fishes and there was also beautiful statue's as well, it was a beautiful place. Gouvia offers day and evening entertainment from beach activities to discos, greek entertainers and karaoke of the evening, and amazing food. The best part of the holiday was that you could not beat the hotel view and the pool was gigantic, I was amazed and very happy with every bit of my holiday to Gouvia.Corfu, Greece Spot on! Rating: 7/10 Submitted by: Jim Date of travel: 10/06/2005
When I visited Corfu in Greece I expected it to be old castles, run down villages etc, but that must have been in the dark ages. haha. Well, that depends on what part of Corfu you stay. I stayed in the Corfu Chandris Hotel and we had a pool/sea view, the hotel was lovely, came with room service and free breakfast but you never spent hardy any time there as there was so much to do. We went to the Dive Easy Diving Center for the day and swam with all the fish, and then we went to the Solomos Museum too and that was brill. Most of the time we just lounged by the pool or went to the beach and have a snorkel and go on the pedal boats. Top holiday.Kavos, Corfu, Greece Top Place -Kavos Rating: 10/10 Submitted by: Milly Date of travel: 29/08/2007
This is a quality place to visit. Kavos is great fun and although the beach is dirty the people are really nice. Oh yeah and the mosquito bites be prepared and bring a spray cos i am covered in them as we speak. Kavos is no good for elderly or kids as it's a party place for the young ones. Met great people and we barely get home at 8am that's how much there is to do in Kavos. Top place to visit. |
