Cesme, Izmir, Turkey Reviews View Cheap Holidays To CesmeCesme, Izmir, Turkey Time alone well spent Rating: 9/10 Submitted by: Ashley Date of travel: 17/07/2007
The little town of Cesme is a good holiday to take on your own. It is extremely safe and is not a place where you will feel lonely if you happen to travel alone. One of the initial things that you see in entering the town is the springs and thermal baths around everywhere. My resort was cozy and clean and completely compatible with my personality. I loved sitting on the white sandy beaches watching the azure waters. Vendors on the beach side sold good food and spoke to you as if you were family. While in the area I had the chance to explore several other tourisitc sites I went to Alacati, Sifne Pasa Harbour and the Bay of Boyalik. They were all fantastic places, cheap to go to and well worth the time spent. I hired an instructor and learned how to wind surf. It must have been the best instructor because I learned how to stay in securely in only a couple of hours. At night I went to clubs and nights and made many friends. Women and men would come up and make free and easy conversation and invited me to eat with them the next days. Be either tourists or locals they were all nice all of the same. My personal favorite part of town was the Cesme Castle. Built I 1508 it displated all of the traditional characteristics of Ottoman Architecture and the tour was well worth the few pounds. The hot springs were very hot at 58 degrees Celsius but was curing and soothings. I might make Cesme my summer holiday home. |
