I spent 3 months in India last year and Goa was definitely one of the highlights. Goa is nothing like the rest of India. If you want to experience the real India then dont go to Goa. If however you want a taste of India with a lot of western culture thrown in and a little bit of luxurious bliss at rock bottom prices then head straight to Goa. Cavelossim is a cool hang out. Some nice restaurants. Its worth the trip down to Palolem but palolem can get crowded and there are lots of teenage gap students running around! Cavelossim is slightly more grown up. All the beaches in Goa are stunning. It's also worth straying inland. The national parks have some excellent wildlife including elephants and if you're lucky leopards. |
