we stayed at the Santa Monica Loews hotel after winning a 5 night stay there, we had the best time ever. The hotel was fab and the staff were just so friendly, it was like a dream come true to us we would never have been able to afford to go there had we not won the holiday. It was certainly a holiday we shall never forget. Hopefully sometime in the near future we can go back there with our children.

Vegas is becoming a real ultimate weekend away location..... Why? Because whilst there you could be ANYONE! Away from the tackiness it really is a decadent destination, where you can spoil yourself rotten and be over the top glam and yet blend right in. Just come back from my 5th trip, this time staying at Encore at Wynn. The weather was almost 100 degrees everyday, the shopping fabulous and the fine dining some of the best of any city I have been too. Oh and some great nightlife - XS at Encore - great club (amongst many)!! It really has something for everyone and is great for a girlie weekend away. Blahnik, Choo and Louboutine say no more..... Heaven! My girlfriends and I go more than the men do now. And why not ????

a city of excess, greed, glitz and glam. I absolutely loved it ! Go to Vegas to feel big in your boots and then take a helicopter flight out to the grand canyon to feel small and in awe of mother nature. Spend at least 5 nights in vegas and enjoy the drag at night and soak up the sun and shop til you drop during the day. Cant wait to go back - think i'll go and check the flights on cheapholidaydeals.co.uk !

My husband and i spent our silver wedding and our sons 6th birthday in the same week so we went to Las Vegas to celebrate, It was great my son stayed off scholl but what a life experiance. He rode the ride on top of the tallest hotel on the strip and stayed in the Luxor ,for aboy who was mad on EGYPT the best hotel in the world. We saw the show WE WILL ROCK YOU. and also saw Elton Johns Red piano along with Elvises & Maralins cars and every 15 mins music and fountains. Had a drink in a Circus, in Paris and an ice cream in Venice all in the one day. Not to mention the amazing light show on freemont street. I didnt want to go to bed as i felt i would miss something, ad still had time to go shopping. i hope that my husband and i will be going back next year for both of our 50th birthdays,

Been twice before + theres nowhere like it. Stayed Luxor + Circus circus can't fault em. Must see light show at Fremont street + take Helicopter ride to Grand Canyon + down the strip at night. Don't go for short break - at least a week or you'll see hardly anything. Very hot in July but plenty of aircon indoors. Ride the bus for 24hrs 3 dollars get on + off as many times as you like-will save the legs. YOU MUST VISIT VEGAS.

We went for 2 weeks and we think still about it every day nearly 2 years later. Universal City is just 10 out 10!!! Buy a 1 day pass and get the rest of the year free!!!

I've been to Las Vegas 4 times during the last 2 years! My first experience was back in 2005 when I got married at the Flamingo! It was amazing and the back drops for photos were spectacular! Since our first trip, we just can't stop going and think about the place all the time. Gambling, shows, shopping, great weather and 24 hour fun makes it the No.1 destination for my wife and I. We are now planning to go back in 2008 for xmas and New years eve. Trust me everyone, you will love it.

With the bluest of blue water and the greenest of green surrounding forest, Lake Tahoe, quite simply, transfixes. It’s impossible to describe the magnificence in words. At 6,225 feet above sea level, Tahoe is the highest alpine lake in the United States. I had a great time and learned that fact about the highest Alpine Lake and use it at every given opportunity

i had the pleasure of living in vegas for a whole fun filled 6 months. I stayed in Treasure Island The luxor, Hurrahs, Ceasers, MGM, The stratsosphere and The Bellagio and every single one was as very different in its own way as it was excellant. I would advise getting out of your hotel and sample the others at least once as its really easy with the free drinks and no clocks in the casino to loose all track of time. The atmosphere, life and the weather are all brilliant, I cant wait to go back. My only problem is to which hotel coz I want2 stap in them all.

Wow, Vegas was far more than I had anticipated. Staying at the Bellagio we were treated to 1st class service and accomodation. The fountains have to be viewed. Legends of Rock at Imperial Palace was an excellent nights entertainment but The Boogie Nights Disco with live band at Mandalay hotel really made our trip. Highly recommend Vegas to anyone and everyone. The hotels are spectacular and there is something for everyone. Searching right now to book the next trip there!

It really doesn’t matter which hotel you stay at in Vegas as long as you stay at one that is on the strip you will be in good hands and make sure you go with deep pockets as you probably will end up spending 3 times more than you expect to. A few things you should get out of the way before you hit the tables as you won’t budge once you start gambling so make sure you see the singing fountain at the Bellagio the White Tigers at the MGM if they are still there and the Venetian. To be honest all the Hotels on the strip have got lots to see but they all have one thing in common when it comes to activities and that is gambling. The good thing is that as long as you are playing at a table drinks, any drink is absolutely free!

Santa Monica was the city in which we stayed for the beginning half of our honeymoon. It was an excellent place to spend our first days as husband and wife. We stayed at the Hotel Santa Monica where we were treated with top service and smiled. The beach was our first venture out. The soft white sand felt fabulous under our feet and we slept and tanned to the sounds of the waves. We traveled down the Santa Monica Boulevard from Hollywood and through West Beverly Hills, Century City, Westwood and West Las Angeles. We took pictures in front of Paramount Studios, the Museum of Television and Radio, and Warner Hollywood Studios. The seafood was the freshest that I have ever tasted and the local musicians and entertainers kept the streets full of life. We were fortunate to be in Santa Monica when the fair came to town and rode rides, played games and snuggled on the Ferris Wheel. For our last day and night there we stayed at the Santa Monica Luxury hotel and were completely pampered. We felt like royalty and to top it off we took a boat ride on the big ship at night. Night life was great there. We hit the local salsa clubs y bailaba (danced) all night long.

California & Nevada - Other, California & Las Vegas, USA My Stage

I must admit that I had a really nice time in Nevada. At first I did not want to go because I did not think it had much to offer besides the girl friends parents and Las Vegas but a little research helped us go a long way. Hoover Dam was the most impressive piece of engineering work that I have ever seen. This man made Dam holds back tons and tons of water from the Colorado River and Lake Mead. It took workers 5 years to construct and is still holding strong after over 70 years. From the Dam you can actually see Lake Mead in all of its brilliance. A truly romantic view indeed and the stage on which I proposed. Nevada is also the lodging place for The Great Basin National Park. In the park we took a tour through Lehman Caves and could not believe the incredible rock formations. What a sight. Surprisingly the caves had open spaces and room for animals and trees that were over 5000 years old. Las Vegas was a must because we wanted to gamble the correct way in the gambling capital of the world. We walked along the strip and explored Downtown Las Vegas. My fianc? and I also spent time in Overton where we got away from the parents and relaxed in a great hotel. We visited the Valley of Fire State Park which is the main attraction of Overton. There we hiked and purchased pieces of infamous the red rock. The amusing part of the trip is that my fianc? had lived in Nevada for over 8 years and had not once visited any of the sights. She said that she had missed out.

Did you know that over 3.5 million people visit Yosemite National Park each year? Last year my best friend and I became a part of that statistic. Growing up I had frequently heard stories of how stunning this part was so I wanted to see all of this beauty and nature for myself. There we saw firsthand the gigantic Yosemite Valley that stretched for Kilometers. We also felt the heat from the geysers and felt the massive presence of our new friend El Capitan. El Capital is an enormous cliff that looms over the Valley and that is made of granite. We took a quick try at Rock climbing but our lack of training prevented us from lasting too long or reaching too high up on the cliff. Big rocks were not my friend's favorite so we walked along side the waterfalls and the wonderfully clear streams. The meadows of Tuolumne and Dana were a treat to experience. There we discovered why meadows are mentioned so frequently in poetry: they are simply breath taking. Yosemite stretches across the slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountain chain. We were left speechless at the sight of the river running alongside mountains and cliffs. Mountains, wetlands, Bridaveil and Ribbon waterfalls, cliffs, hanging valleys, glaciers and streams are all hosted here. There is so much to do that there is not enough time to do everything that you would like to do. Yosemite National Park is the perfect combination of water, land, climate, and ice. I can see why my parents spoke about it so.

San Diego, California & Las Vegas, USA What's great about San Diego

San Diego is the place that we often heard of whenever California was mentioned so we decided to vacation there. That was a great decision especially since it was getting cold at home and the weather was great on the west coast. Because we were tourists we decided to do what tourists do and visit the most popular sights. At the top of our list was to Tijuana by Trolley. It was just as good as we envisioned it. We spent an entire day there shopping and looking around. The shops were full of hand crafted items, quality but smartly priced leather, and cigars. There was where I actually learned how to bargain and I convinced many a shopkeeper to reduce the price on the goods that I purchased. Other firsts for me was my first experience at a Greyhound race and at Jai Alai. What was funny is that we actually saw a real bull fight. I thought that you could only get those in Spain!!! Next we went to Old Town for Mexican food and history tours. Since we were on vacation, we went all out and took the San Diego Harbor Cruise. Fantastic. It took us away from the busy city and on to the water so see actual sea lions resting on buoys. For education and culture sake we took trips to the Balboa Parks and Museum and the San Diego Zoo. We found out why San Diego is popular.

People said that I was crazy when I wanted to take holiday by myself but I let them know that I wanted to get away. Lake Tahoe was a great place to do so. It is a quiet place with a lot to do but a lot to do on your own. It was not one of those family places were everywhere you looked there were people together; no I felt quite comfortable alone. For one thing being in California I frequented many casinos and practiced my gambling skills. I have been gambling since age 5 so I won some money and did not lose my lifesavings. My girlfriend suggested in I stayed in the Siena Spa Hotel Casino to pamper myself. I tried it because she told me to bring her back the receipt. It was not too expensive but you did see less money in your pocket after a casino visit. I ate lunch and dinner at B.L. Bliss state part to the view of a serene lake. I much enjoyed the Truckee River Walk Park where I saw small waterfalls coming out of the side of the walkways. There were unique shops there that sold things that you don't usually see and I watched a cheap movie at the local theatre. My favorite place by far, however, was the National Automobile Museum. My brothers and I have always been into cars so it was cool to see the old Ford's and the evolutions of cars. I will definitely be back but with my girlfriend next time. There was much to do alone but lots of things to do with others as well.

California & Las Vegas, USA The Strip and Ghost Town

California & Las Vegas was a good combination for our road trip. Just graduating from University my friends and I wanted to venture out and do a last journey together being careless and fancy free. We choose these locations because they were a good distance from Georgia, so we had time on the road to bond. We also chose them because each had its own attractions to offer. Our first stop was Las Vegas where of course we spent the week on the strip. What! The lights and the shows were fabulous and the casinos were massive. We did lose some money in our attempts at gambling but it was all in fun. Some things that we did not like were the ridiculous amount of strip malls, and little perfect communities where everything looked planned and were the same. What we loved were the cheaper than expected motels and Downtown Vegas. Downtown we these buildings that looked like they missed the memo that we are now in 2007 because they look like they are from 4 decades ago. They were ugly and big but fill of history. For the nature part we visited the Red Rock Canyon and the Zion National Park. After the week was complete we headed over to California to spend time on the beach and see how they really live in The OC (Orange County). The beaches were big and the water was amazing but was at times really crowded. For the best beach experience we went early in the day and during the week. We also used a guide that pointed out the road trip's must see sights. We saw the Giant Orange stand, Dinosaur Land Remains, White House Doll Museum, the 1989 Earthquake Epic Center and the Ghost Town and Freak Lamb. We did not have time to see Hollywood or the OC but there are always road trip reunions.

I stayed in the Palma Hotel over looking the Las Vegas strip which was amazing. I enjoyed a night at the 55th Floor Ghost bar and that was a top night not to miss. In the day time there were great bars and restaurants and don't forget the top Casino's, plus beautiful water fountains to view while taking in the amazing scenery. Plus don't forget to visit the world's only Playboy Club!!

Just came back from LA about a month ago and i had a fantastic time with my cuz. Because of the two dollar pound, we went out every night and got drunk. Love the atmosphere over their and the people are really friendly, they would walk past you in the morning and say good morning for no reason its bizarre. There are nice restaurants and the McDonald's burgers are so much bigger than the UK ones ha-ha. If you want to go shopping than LA would be great for that as the shops are great and there is so much to choose from and of course twice as cheaper than the UK. Loved it over there and we planning to go again next year. No regrets. Just Fun Fun Fun and hot ladies.

Excellent! Vegas was fantastic, we stayed at the Flamingo right in the middle of the strip which made it easy for us to get around. The musical fountains at the Bellagio is somethign to look forward to. Each casino has its own theme and it is well worth visiting the Luxor, Mirage, the Venetian, New York New and if you get time try and see a show there are so many to choose from. Try and do stuff indoors during the day as it is scorching hot outside, the eveings are pleasent though. the only downside to my whole trip was that i came back broke thanks to the the evil game of Black Jack.
