This was my first holiday with out my family, I went with my mate Claire and we had a great time. Wen we arrived in the resort, at 4am in the morning! We went straight to one of the bars that were still open, Crazy Jo’s I think! It was very warm and stuffy but as the bar man knew we were new arrivals he gave us free drinks until they closed at 6am then we went to our hotel room and crashed out. wen we finally woke up we go out bikini's on and went out for a tour of the resort; to see where the beach was and shops etc. We went to the tour op and found out wot was happening through the week and there was quite a lot going on but some things very expensive though. We went to the aqua land though which was good. The beach is a normal sort of beach really, rocky patches in some parts but it wasn't too bad. We played Frisbee in the sea and we also went on a glass bottom boat ride, boring! The sea wasn't clear enough to see anything. You had to pay for a sun bed and umbrella, cheek! So we just sat on a beach towel... Bar one was a really top laugh in the evening, drinking games, cool music and other mad things going on, we got drunk most nights coz all the shots were free. We defo going bak… Cala Millor, Majorca, Spain Successful Family Holiday Rating: 8/10 Submitted by: Victoria Date of travel: 11/06/2007
Who's up for clear water, glass bottom boats, and all sorts of wildlife animals? If you are you should take a holiday to Cala Millor. Cala Millor was one of our family's first peaceful and positive holidays. Our typical holidays are loud theme park adventures or clich? island beach getaways and always end up with some bad hotel experience and with all family members sitting in far away seats on the plane. But this time holiday was different. Our parents chose a spot that was more quiet and tranquil so that we could bond versus run and argue. They took us to a safari park that we quite different from the traditional London zoo because we rode on jeeps and the area for the animals was much bigger. We saw giraffes, zebra, elephants and monkeys. Some we were able to get close up but the tigers we stay far away. They are more tame being in the area but the guide told us that they were still unpredictable. As a true family we walked up the medieval watchtower on Punta de n?Amer. It us 45 long minutes to reach the top but we had a big feast of any amount of chips and burgers, nachos, and other snacks that we wanted. The view of the sea and the resort as well of the food was well worth it. We also had a few laughs along the way, especially when Tim and Dad tripped on the way up. Maggie and I loved the apartments. I thought that apartments were just to let but you can holiday in them too. They were called the Christina apartments and the food was really good and the beds were quite comfortable. We wanted to go into the Q club because you can hear the music play outside and everyone says it was fun but we were too young to go. When I am in University I will go into that club. I liked the boats with the missing bottoms the best. |
