We didnt really know what to expect when we went to bulgaria, but we had a really good time. Our apartment was pretty basic but that didnt bother us, we went mainly for the nightlife. We were expecting it to be pretty cheap over there but prices wernt that different fromover here. Nightlife was really good only thing is that they are not all on one main strip, but still walking distance. One down point is that u have to pay for some of the toilets when you go out its about 25p. But over all i would recommened sunny beach for any young people who like to party! Well what can i say our first trip to bulgaria and what an interesting eye opening time we had. Sunny beach was the resort we stayed in i wasnt really sure what to expect its an extremely up and coming resort sort of a blackpool prom feel to the beach front endless bars and shops all selling the same thing. The bars and restaurants are very good with some of the best seafood dishes i have ever seen on offer at extremely cheap prices you could get a main course meal for 2 along with a drink for about ?12 quid!! Bargain!! However a few things to be carefull of when braving the extremely busy prom at night beware of the endless convoy of golf buggies for one they are everywhere and normally being driven by drunken holiday makers with no sense of direction control or safety also tut tuts are very popular these however are peddle powered and come complete with a driver for 10 lev per person but again beware of them as they sneak up behind you and nearly knock you over! Also romanian gypsies appear to be a problem in sunny beach for pick pocketing etc so make sure you have your witts about you at all time this is a shame really as the bulgarian people are so friendly and helpfull . All in all we had a fantastic holiday our hotel was lovely and clean we enjoyed the beautiful beach and the near by town of nesssebar is well worth a visit we will definately be returning to bulgaria in the future cheerful and very very cheap nice weather what more could you want from a holiday.Bulgaria golden sands Rating: 10/10

albeana is a very beautifull place to visit,very cheap resteraunts four people had a three course meal and drinks all night and it came to ?21 . people are extreemly friendly ,highly recomend the beer hut and moby dick the food was out of this world and extreemly cheap . bulgarians are really lovely, friendly people im going to old town of nessebar on the 4 of july 09 cant wait 2 goSunny Beach, Bourgas Region, Bulgaria sunny beach 2007 Rating: 10/10

i went there first in 2006 and fell in love with the place there are ample restaurants and bars the beach is beautiful and the people were friendly it was great value for money with buy one get one free on drinks throughout the days, they make fabulous baked potatoes with coleslaw cheese and tomatoes as many toppings as you like for about £1.50 tequila sunrise work out about £1 each, i went back again in 2007 and it was busier as the location has become popular but not manic, for excursions the evening at khans tent is a must where you will see amazing things you get a free course meal and wine with entertaintment for about £20 and there are catortionists doing amazing positions i just feel it is like my spiritual home.Elenite, Bourgas Region, Bulgaria what a great holiday Rating: 10/10

my husband and I went here for a two week holiday to my dads holiday home. It was very relaxing here and we only had to take a ten minute bus journey into sunney beach to all the hustle and bustle of the many clubs,bars and restuarants.
We would recommend you try it as you can have peace and quiet one day and action packed day the next.Sunny Beach, Bourgas Region, Bulgaria Sunny Beach (awesome) Rating: 10/10

went to sunny beach for my summer holidays with my family and must say it was the best holiday ever. plenty of great food (very cheap) and extremly cheap drink. All hotels look amazing (from the outside anyways) and the hotel i stayed in was the svejest and was beautiful inside also.
B each beautiful and shopping galore to keep everyone happy.
Just booked another holiday this august to the ashton hall which is a new hotel so ill give a review when i get back

I was recommended Sunny beach by a very good friend of mine who said that it was a great place to go for a vacation so I did and I was not too over the moon about the place but it was a decent holiday. The resort is very clean and well maintained as are the hotels. There are a few bars and night clubs which are okay but on the whole I think I expected more from the resort, I will say that Sunny Beach makes for a very cheap and cheerful holiday. Albena, Varna Region, Bulgaria Bargain! Rating: 10/10

Beer is 60p a pint! Can't go wrong! Of course we did more than just drink beer (although that played a huge part of our activities) Horse riding, sunbathing. The coastline is really breath-taking. I found the local people very friendly and welcoming. The local architecture is really impressive. I have been in Bulgaria 3 times and have stayed in 3 different resorts. Last month I went to Golden Sands with a mate as we liked the sound of the name and we heard good things about the place so we went. The hotel we booked was not very good but I guess it didn't cost much. So we canceled the reservation and checked in a different hotel which was great, with air conditioning, balcony, and huge room. The hotel also had a swimming pool and private gym which were free to use. The resort was so pretty. It was not as busy as Sunny Beach, where we went 2 years ago, and was really natural and had much history to it. From the buildings, to the traditional restaurants, to the wilderness, and forest near by. The beach was crystal clean and offered many water activities, and this is where we spent most of the time either sunbathing or taking boat trips which was fun. I loved the time we spent there and would recommend it to anyone as the place has a character of its own and people were really nice and friendly. Varna Region, Bulgaria Varna - Bulgaria Rating: 6/10

Hey guys, i went on holiday with my b/f to Bulgaria last year and we stayed in Varna for 5 days. It's a really cool city although quite busy as it is one of the biggest apparently. There were lots to do like bars and clubs, shopping centers and restaurants. The beach was 5 mines away which were great for my tanning and the sand and water was really clean. The only downfall would be that at night, it was really busy and the roads were packed with people and i am not used to that, it felt strange but i guess it was ok. Other than that, it's a really nice place and we had fun. The rest of the time, we spent in Albena resort which was soooo good. The place was amazing and was pure luxury. When I say luxury, you probably think it means money but no it was quite cheap, food and drinks were really cheap. We went to a club one night and we realized we only spent £8 on drinks and we had a lot so we were amazed. Some girls were a bit bitchy towards me as they were jealous that i had money to splash away but other than that, people were really friendly and welcoming. Would I visit again? Hi I am Kate and I just came back from a holiday in Bulgaria. Me and my mum stayed in Bourgas but we traveled a lot as we wanted to see different places. Bourgas itself is a really nice city with loads of shops and restaurants. If you visit during summer, the Sea Garden is a refreshing place to visit, it's right on the sea coast and it looks like a jungle with hidden caf's and small shops and restaurants. It was real fun. We also went to Sunny Beach and Nessebar as they are so close. About 40 miens from Bourgas and Sunny Beach and Nessebar are 2 bus stops away from one another so it was really easy to move around and visit different areas. The people were really friendly although some were envious that we had more money than them but over all they were really nice. Oh and if you love food than you will love it there. The portions are so big compared to the UK its crazy and for a meal, dessert, and drinks it came up to about £3.50. Clothes are cheap too as you can get copies which look real for one third of the price. Me and mum had a great time in the Bourgas region of Bulgaria. I just came back from Nessebar in Bulgaria and i have to say this place was really cool. The old part of Nessebar is a must see as it is so different and it has cave shops and bars and really unique buildings. The newer part is also good although more modern, but still nice. The beach was really nice with slides and many water activities and restaurants on the coastline. What was really good is that Sunny Beach is only 10 mins walk from Nessebar so we had the option of going out in Sunny Beach at night as the nightlife there is really lively and during the day we sunbathed on Nessebar's clean beach which was less crowded than Sunny beach. If you go make sure, you visit Victoria Palace hotel and Bar in Sunny Beach as this place is so big and beautiful you wouldn't want to miss it.Sunny Beach, Bourgas Region, Bulgaria Sunny Beach resort - Great Fun Rating: 8/10

Went to Sunny Beach in Bulgaria for my summer holiday and I had a fab time with 2 of my friends. It was really hot and people were friendly and nice. The place itself is really stunning and there was much to do during day and night time. We stayed at Kotva hotel which is towards the end of the resort but it was really nice and cheap, food was good and not overcrowded. There are 3 beaches which have golden sands and clean water and my advice is to go early as it can get really busy after mid day. There is also an Aqua Park 10 mines away which was great fun. The best thing about Sunny beach is that you can have a three course meal and drinks for £5 and the food was really good. I would definitely go there again. |
