According to hitched.co.uk, traditional exotic locations such as Barbados, the Bahamas and the Virgin Islands remain popular honeymoon spots despite an increase in the number of couples looking for more adventure.
The comment comes after St Lucia was recently hailed as the World's Leading Honeymoon Destination in the 2007 World Travel Awards.
"Some couples like to do the traditional style of honeymoon, relax on a deserted beach for two weeks, whereas others opt for the more adventurous type of trip," Francesca Moore, spokesperson for hitched.co.uk, said.
She added that Las Vegas is also "very popular" for honeymooners at the moment, with some couples even choosing to get married out there.
Hitched.co.uk offers a free service to couples getting married including help with the engagement and honeymoon.
