According to the Association of British Travel Agents (Abta), costs of UK festivals are rising and there are some great deals - and better weather - to be had abroad.
Spokesperson Sean Tipton commented that Spain hosts one such music festival, meanwhile those taking holidays to Playa de las Americas in Tenerife may which to attend the annual WOMAD festival which takes place on the Canary Islands.
"Ticket prices are often considerably lower, easier to get hold of and in venues or countries with considerably better weather," Mr Tipton noted.
He added that the more "savvy" music fans were already beginning to become aware that many bands that tour the UK can also be seen in Europe.
