Egypt is "most popular exotic destination"

Olympic Holidays | 10th of April 2008 | Read or post comments (0)
From Olympic Holidays News in Tour Operator News
Olympic Holidays late deals to Egypt could be of appeal to those living in the Midlands, according to new research.

A study by Halifax has revealed that all inclusive package holidays now count for 33 per cent of all holidays, with people living in the Midlands being the biggest fans of this type of getaway.

Halifax also reported that Egypt is viewed as the "most popular exotic destination", with one in ten Britons taking a package holiday to an exotic destination each year.

"Package holidays such as all-inclusive allow Brits to arrive and stay put for the duration and it certainly makes financial sense to make the most of the facilities as this is what you are paying for," commented senior underwriting manager at Halifax Travel Insurance Paul Birkhead.

And indeed, the study revealed that Brits on package holidays spend less than seven hours away from their hotel boundaries in total.
