According to the Guardian, Manuel Perez Fenoll described the town, which is known as the "Manhattan of Spain", as sustainable, travellers who are looking to go on Holiday breaks in Spain might be interested to learn.
Mr Perez Fenoll commented: "The skyscrapers occupy less space and they save on infrastructure. This means it is more sustainable. Some say the place has no green areas, but we are going to develop a big park."
He also described that the town's new hotels will have to have green areas around them in order to ensure that they are kind to the environment.
Benidorm is in La Marina Baixa region of Spain on the Costa Blanca and offers tourists a diverse mixture of accommodation, restaurants, beaches and activities as well as copious shops and historical sites.
